Great looking model ,you did a an excellent job , I liked the look so much I had to order it,received it yesterday, planning on installing LEDs inside to light it up at light.
Great work! Oddly enough I was thinking of doing the same project after seeing it done in the display layout in Trains and Such in Calgary. How did you 3D print the handwritten Tim Horton's logo?
@PB-fw2mx I too decided to create mine after seeing the one in Trains and Such. The signature is from the Tim Hortons sign on the Thingiverse 3D printing website. Unfortunately the words alone aren't there, so I took the sign they do have, separated out the signature and scaled it
I have both the Palace built up theater with chase marquee and sign lights .I would love to add the same to the Rivoli .l believe that the back with the on off slot was used for the Palace theater light switch.
These are exactly Athearn Overton coaches. The 109 is a single pack version with the item number RND16379. I have a set of Athearn Overton 4 car pack in Canadian National scheme with one coach numbered 108. The single pack 109 coach is now really rare on the market.
That would be an O gauge train, referring to the spacing of the rails. Lionel o27 and traditional line features semiscale train models. Great video though
that little loco has more detail than you know ,,,i weather and make my locos and rolling stock look as real as can be ,,i paint them black first the lightly drybrush and bring out the detail that is there but hard to see because of the color of the loco ,i have the same loco but it was southern pacific
One day, when I start doing HO scale model trains, I will definitely try and get my hands on Fairbanks Morse Cab Units as well as Cab Units from other builders like Alco, EMD, and Baldwin.
My wife and I traveled with Strates Shows for 2 years. Lived on and rode the train. Too bad that the railroads wanted to much money for them to keep it on the rails. They're a road show now, and leave alot behind in Winter Quarters in Florida. Talked to Jimmy and John Strates a couple of years ago, and they wanted us to come back. We said no.
Would you happen to know what kind of decoder is best to use with the DCC ready? I have two CSX Athearn RTR DCC ready but dont know how many pins the decoder should be. Thanks!
@Trainguy1969 thanks! Yeah, it's the Athearn AC4000CW like this one, it's just CSX instead of CP. I'm not good with the computer stuff and don't wanna screw it up 🤣🤣
Looks like these locomotives have both a 9 pin plug and an 8 pin plug. I have attached a link to a RU-vid video that shows how to attach a digitrax decoder to the 9 pin plug. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JpaMT5UbZcY.html
I was given one of these trains as a Christmas gift back in the 70s when it first came out. I still have it and it is as it was back then. However I don't run it on my layout because the locomotive motor is not strong enough for a grade grater than 1%. I have considered replacing the motor but decided against that as it would destroy it as a collectable train set. Instead it is proudly displayed above my layout.
So true, I guess they felt using express gave it a sense of speed, it doesn't achieve 110 km/h is its top speed on the line. The top speed of the locomotive is 177km/h
I work for transit in metro Vancouver. (bus driver) I take commuters down to this train 4 days a week. Anyone needs any details about this train, happy to offer. :)
Holy crap I haven't seen this in decades. The F7 looks so inaccurate. The CP F7 never had the double headlight. This was more of a Union Pacific frame.
As a Brit who models American HO I have a great liking for railcars. I currently have a Budd RDC plus's two Doodlebugs in my loco collection. Watching a single railcar plodding along the track in a rural setting evokes a sense of nostalgia.
Sure does, I loved seeing and riding the dayliner when I was a kid. Unfortunately, they stopped the service here in 1990 and have never replaced it. I guess people like their cars too much to consider a train. There is talk however of building a hyperloop between the cities Edmonton, Red Deer and Calgary
not bad ? but it could be better... there were FOUR colors to a camoflauge paint job ...1) black ... 2) chocolate brown ... 3)cream brown ... 4)army green
Interesting. I was basing mine off of an image of a Husky Armoured Recovery Vehicle I found on the net. It seems to have only three colours, black, brown and green. What militaries' camouflage are you citing in your comment?
the colors i gave you are the colors i wore in the 80s & 90s ... colors always change - it depends on the country & year ... it doesn't have be perfect
Hello Trainguy 1969, the cable cars in San Francisco are great. I was in Frisco for several days and traveled many miles back and forth with the cable car. Years later I created a 3D San Francisco picture frame. The H0 Cable Cars has been converted and equipped with lights. The cable cars drive automatically in shuttle mode If you're interested here are mine RU-vid clips of it Greetings Franz ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i_QIcGXvH1c.htmlsi=opTgBs-D6GJ5otgV ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K-RmeDHJXfE.htmlsi=G4rE86vThlseK07Y
