@jeremyspaulding7735 Thanks, OG! You didn't have to watch that. It was mainly to help future campers, but as always, you're watching and smashing that like button. I don't deserve friends like you. Thanks for everything!
I hate my Manix 2 lock. It takes WAY too much effort to pull it back, and it’s sticky when locked. Regrettably I opened the box long after the return period and the cost to return to Spyderco, I might just try this.
Lemme know how it works out for you, friend! My Manix 2 is *insanely* hard to actuate as well. Everyone I've talked to has either said there's no way it is, or I just need to keep playing with it and using it and it'll break in. Well despite the fact that I actuate the lock hundreds of times a day, and probably over a thousand times on the night I got it, it hasn't broken in a lick-in fact, I'd say the action has gotten *worse.*
I’m up north in Wisconsin and used the Pro Plugger for the first time last fall. I kept the newly transplanted plugs moist for a couple weeks and man did my grass spread. We had a very rainy late April and most of may which really helped. All my bare spots that I plugged are now completely filled in with grass. I just left the holes empty where I took the plugs from originally. They filled in too. Best advice, be patient and keep the plugs moist and you should be good with the results. Good luck.
you can't beat a zoysia yard! in my experience, they're very hardy and you really can't go wrong so long as you get them in the ground and lay the water to them for the first couple weeks. looking forward to the update!
This is NOT an all metal. All 701s have plastic threads on both the tip and the end. There is a plastic sleeve inside the main body. That sleeve is what the tip and click mechanism thread to. The metal body is not threaded.
@BigJesse579 thanks for clarifying. I think they do make an all metal version now don't they? Either way, my 2nd favorite edc pen and cartridge. My first being the space pen Bullet. Fits in my wallet!
@@OutdoorGearAddiction I just bought another one at Office Max 3 weeks ago. The click collar is now metal and the refill is metal but still a plastic sleeve.
I am looking to get my first knife. I am thinking about this knife or maybe a Spyderco para 3 or pm2. What would you recommend? Or do you recommend another? Ps I think I would like a bigger knife. Thanks for the great video!
Your first knife? The Atlas is a neat knife for sure. I love my Para 3 but it's smaller. Actually, in my opinion, it's the perfect size for edc. I don't like my PM2. The 2 seems more fragile. My favorite big knife is the ZT0308.
I've had good luck with the black coating but I also like when it starts wearing off. I carry an MXG on a Kershaw Blur almost daily and it's wearing off. I don't mind it so I haven't noticed how long it takes. Happy carrying!!
No other clips. I can barely hear it in the cab. Others say it sounds awesome when I'm driving away getting on it a little. I've listened to my wife drive away a few times and it sounds fine but she also won't get on it. I'd like to do a muffler delete and for sure leave the resonator but I'm afraid it will drive my family crazy when we're pulling 9,000 lbs of camper.
If you have an old flag that’s worn and torn and you don’t know what to do with it contact your local Boy Scouts troop and see if they would like it for a retirement ceremony
@@OutdoorGearAddiction we did retirement ceremonies all the time in my time in scouts, breaking them down into the 13 individual stripes and the field and burning each one at a time, haven’t been part of one in a minute though so I can’t remember the specifics of the speech that went along with it
When flags are torn or lose their color, it is proper to have a retirement ceremony. Our city officials do a proper retirement ceremony. I didn't throw them away. Watch the video again. 🇺🇸 I did go back and fold the one I put in first. The rest were folded in the bag.
Thank you. Very cool that this service is available. I especially hate that I found one on the side of a major road. I pulled halfway off the road, threw it in park, hit the flashers and marched my butt back to get her. The others hadn't touched the ground and were being retired due to wear.
Worst knife revew ever,...mine is a bear,..industructable,..opens in a snap,..D2 steel. I own a Spyderco para 3 and a Spyderco Manix XL2 priced six times as much,...that said my # 1 carry knife is my Kershaw Cryo 2!!! Thumbs down, sorry to tell you but I disagree 100%!! Watch how ALL the other kinfe show's on RU-vid rate the Cryo 2 as well my opinion on it.
