Great video! Deck 5 certainly has plenty of things to offer, it was great to see the different entertainment and activities in the Piazza. We agree with you that Sabatini’s is the best specialty dining restaurant!
Thank you and thank you for watching. There was so much going on there that we probably missed alot too, you do need to go early though - because the weather on this cruise wasn’t great, seats were at a premium almost all of the time.
@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul yes, we found that too! On our first sea day to the Fjords it wasn’t nice enough weather to be outside so everyone seemed to be sat in the Piazza. Not enough room for everyone inside the ship on days like that!

@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul The walled old town is lovely and well worth a visit. Take a taxi though, from inside port. If you go outside and walk (although 15 minutes taxi ride away), so don't, you will be surrounded by people wanting to take you all over the place. It happens in most ports, but this was the worst I've experienced.
Thought the Take Five bar was a waste of a good venue. I am not keen on jazz at all. Sure, have it some nights, but every night too much. It could have been used for a variety of music styles and acts. So sorry you had bad weather, but if you are anything like us, you'd have had a great time anyway.
Thanks for watching. To be honest the music wasn’t really to our taste but the bar staff and the atmosphere in the bar area itself was what kept us going back every night. I do agree that a variation of music in there would make it a really great music venue.

just watched your video this morning, we were on that cruise as well, remember the captain saying there will be a bit of creaking and groaning lol. Maybe a bit too early in the season.
Hi - thank you for watching. The noise in our cabin on deck 14 was horrendous for about 3 nights !!! We have cruises earlier than this one and never experienced weather quite as bad as this one
@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul hi, we were coming back last summer from the Baltic on P&O Aurora, NNW force 12 on the broadside, we had a list to port as we crossed the Dogger bank. In the dining room we had a sea view on the port side and a sky view to starboard lol. We were also on deck 14 on the Sky Princess
Thank you for watching. The amount of storage is great and the cabins themselves don’t feel cramped. The other great feature is the motion detector night light in the base of the bedside cabinets which gives off just enough lighting to allow you to move around the cabin safely during the night.

Hi - thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. Drinks package is always a difficult one to advise but on - we like a drink and also the convenience of not having a big bill at the end of the cruise. The drinks prices on P&O are very reasonable but to give you a better idea, go to www.cruisemummy.co.uk/cruise-drinks-package-calculator/ and there you can get a good idea of which package you would be best taking based on what and how much you like to drink. Bear in mind that all adults in the cabin must have the same package. There may be some medical exemptions but you would be best approaching P&O about this if it applies to you.
Great video and cannot wait to use the gym. Question for anyone, are there free saunas and steam rooms like on Azura or do you have to pay extra on Iona?
Thank you for watching. No unfortunately there aren’t any free sauna/steam room facilities. We were a bit disappointed with that aspect - we paid for the spa package on our first cruise on Ventura because we didn’t realise they were free facilities.
@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul both are the Fjords. One is for our 10th wedding anniversary and dads birthday and the other is just me and daughter for her congrats on uni placement and late 18th birthday.

I can’t think of a better way of spending birthdays and anniversaries, we sailed the first time for our silver wedding and really caught the cruising bug 🤣. We have done quite a few cruises but never been to the Fjords, we are booked to go next year on Britannia

We always stay in a hotel the night before and use their car park but if you have booked parking with CPS at the port, I believe they meet you, you unload your luggage, they check the car for any marks/damage etc. and then they park it for you. At the end of the cruise, they bring your car back to the disembarkation point.

We didn’t notice any excessive noise, a bit of vibration when docking and a faint noise from the Live Lounge late afternoon when they were rehearsing but nothing at all to worry about. We have booked the cabin next door for a cruise in 2025. We have stayed in aft cabins on lower decks that had more noise.
@@user-of1bc4rm2n if fabulous views, sunsets and sunrises are something you enjoy, you will love an aft cabin. I don’t know if you have seen any of our other videos but the ones from September 2022 and October 2023 on Britannia have footage taken from a camera set up on the balcony.
I'm in this video at 8:54! What a wonderful day that was in Málaga... I preferred the Pulse rock night than the Freddie tribute... It was my favourite day of the whole cruise although on the walk back to the ship I took the wrong road and had to backtrack about 10 minutes as there was an impassable gate ...

Some beautiful yachts to dream about owning and our video doesn’t really do justice to the park - it does make a lovely walk between the city and the port 😀

On our cruise alot of people were complaining about where the shuttle had dropped us off - some people had gone back to the ship earlier and started kicking off at reception so they sent officers out to try and deal with complaints before they got back to the ship. They asked us what we thought and we couldn’t praise the place highly enough - they told us it’s the Valencian authorities that have told P&O that they couldn’t shuttle into the City Centre.
@@TravelwithUsLynnePaul Yes we were on the same cruise as you in Oct, we also heard people moaning, but as we had been to Valencia before on Ventura we knew where the City was and were able to walk but did hear alot complaining, can see why the shuttle bus stops there with such beautiful buildings and shopping mall.
@@sharonmccartney4744 we had also been to the old town on Britannia in 2022 and had always planned to go here this year anyway, it just made it so much easier for us that the shuttle dropped us there 😀

We use the recommended editing service software for our DJI gimbal and that is LightCut - we also use a combination of Superimpose and Adobe Express for compiling the thumbnail images. There are lots out there to choose from. When we first started we used iMovie.

We love Lisbon. It’s a beautiful city and affordable! I’d forgotten how close the port is to the Main Street. The architecture of the old town is stunning. We’ve not been in that market, must check that out next time. That’s one of the best parts of cruising isn’t it, new friends. The ship looks stunning. I think P&O is going to be the next line we try. It really was an incredible experience, we had done it before about 5 years ago but in the height of the summer months and our concern was that in October the colder waters might affect the dolphin activity but, as you can see, it clearly didn’t !! The portion of footage you see on the video is only a sample of the footage we managed to get.
