This only works for water heaters that have an indicator light and a push button. Mine is a knob that is either off or set to pilot. There is no button to hold or push in. There is no green light to tell me if the pilot is lit or not.
It's amazing that all the videos I have watched don't make a specific mention on the air flow direction. Should the white dot for the electrode be on the airflow intake or outtake?
*This was perfect for my greenhouse! **Fastly.Cool** and Warming environment perfectly controlled I love how it keeps track of the temperature so you are able to go back and check how it fluctuates through the night/day*
Just got out of a nice unexpected cold shower after replacing my anode rod yesterday. Guys, thanks for letting me get this tank heated up before my wife jumps in after working out!!!!. She would have been p*****. :) Thank you again.....nice job. Very easy!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. I got the water heater back working. I couldn't see the pilot light by looking into the little glass window but you can see the burners on by turning out the light and looking UP into the glass and see a reddish flame. THANKS
When your instructions (and the ones printed on the side of the unit) didn't work I had to go to a different video to learn that you should click the ignitor more than once. You may have done that but you moved the camera to try to see the pilot which was kinda useless. Also informative on the other video was that there is a 5 minute safety delay so if you miss it the first time you must turn it to off to wait 5 minutes.
Shouldn't the blame be on the landlord? I mean yeh they didn't know but at the same time shouldn't a landlord be responsible to make sure stuff is right or at least tell the renter how to take care of things? It just feels like a 50/50 blame thing.
