Dean Martin went along but wasn't at all happy by all accounts as he was a virulent anti racist at the time of total racism. He was a trailblazer for equality that Everyone should remember.
#1 is mediocre with looks, worse with voice, and his dancing was robotic... #2 ridiculous face, very mediocre voice (but he could probably actually sing other rock tunes), can not play the guitar... #3, good look from the side, fair vocal, #4 has a fat face, fair voice, and moves like he is controlled by a drunken puppet master, #5 had a good voice, until he tried to nail the final lines (then all fucking hell broke loose), but looked like fucking a Frankenstein! YOU missed all of the classic ETA's: Johnny Harrah, Larry Seth, Big Elvis, and others. I WAS one of the youngest Elvis Tribute Artists in the country in 1975, and opened up for The Big El Show, Jim E Curtin, Lloyd Lee, and others.... my last professional acts were playing lead guitar for Smokin Joe Frazier, and opening up for countless famous acts.
I have seen many Elvis impersonators over the years, the main reason they do it is the respect and love of Elvis, they keep him alive and in the public eye, yes some are good some not so good but all keep his image alive and makes him as popular today than when he was with us, Elvis has been dead more years than he was alive , these guys help keep him alive.

Saw him live on several occasions over the years but the most memorable was when I saw him as a child with my parents in Blackpool when my mother laughed so much at his antics she actually wet herself. He was unrivalled as a comedian.
I've never seen a bad Elvis impersonator and I've been to a good few Elvis tribute shows over the years. I've enjoyed them all as good or bad just like me they're all devoted Elvis fans. I liked Freddie Starr's tribute to the great man, I always knew Freddie was a massive fan, how could anyone not be? Elvis at his peak was his Las Vegas concerts in the 70s, hence instantly recognisable are his tribute acts in their jump suits. The greatest entertainer ever, how lucky we are that there are so many recordings of him performing.
