A través del tiempo y conforme vamos creciendo pensamos k todo va ser como cuando éramos niños pero no es así porque realmente no sabemos k nos depara la vida y a este pobre hombre si k le a llovido y fuerte
Roy could cover Baritone range (one octave) and Tenor range (one octave ) two octaves in total in normal chest voice. Using his falsetto he could climb into three octaves. Pretty incredible few other singers could match.
I find it fascinating that the great artists of the 1960´s all of a sudden got huge interest again in the 1980s while they had pretty much disappeared completely in the 70´s. That started with Simon&Garfunkel in 1981 (Central Park Concert), continued with the Everly Brothers in 1983 (Royal Albert Hall Reunion Concert), and then Roy Orbison in 1987. First the Black&White Night Concert, then the Travelling Wilburys, then the album Mystery Girl with the single You Got It. Unfortunately, Roy was the one who didn´t profit much from his comeback... he died before it had even reached it´s height in 1989.
Beautiful. Listened to this concert on my morning walk. My son and I traveled over to the uk for this concert, the voice was as strong as ever thank you for giving me the opportunity to relive my memories
@@glassonion7582 I’m not 100% on the final concert there, but there is photos from the show. I have to go and look on the FB group, someone posted I believe 5 the day this concert was uploaded.
Roy never did a bad show in his life. What a wonderful voice, and he always sang his songs exactly the way he intended when he wrote them - and that's the way we loved him and them.
Good afternoon, I am currently building a private preservation archive of Roy Orbison, mostly as a hobby project, and wanted to ask if you had any Roy concerts from the 60's, as those are especially rare on the Internet despite it being his golden years, or any other content you'd be willing to share. Whether you want to take this as a request and upload or send it privately is up to you, and i will respect any decision but thought i would shoot my shot of sorts, and I have no ill intentions with my comments. In any ways, i still want to congratulate you for uploading this stuff online, as a big fan of Roy. Thank you and have a good day!
My wife surprised me with tickets for our anniversary. I cared more about going to the concert than spending time with her😅😅 would explain why we separated 2 weeks later. Oh how much I loved Roy then and still play him every single day
Note that this was not a real working mans/social club but a studio set, this being a program made by Granada TV in their main studios. So yes whilst not the most prestigious of venues it was still a TV program made by a major UK franchise holder.
