The messed up part? There was another season in the works, the first scene would be Jesus once again ressurecting, seeing what the witch did, would have NEVER worked and spends his time trying to come to terms with what his life is. They had their arc as well as sub arcs. Although it seems like Jesus was going to be a bit if a villian in the same kind of way Mr Freeze is. There were written scripts for a few episodes done to completion. One saw Jesus seek out and find scriptures and ancient obelisks that show him cosmic visions. It seems he may have gotten to meet his true father towards the conclusion of the season, setting HIM up as the next main antagonist for a hopeful, 3rd season
