On this channel, I react to spoken word poems and rap songs, share my own poetry, give writing and publishing tips, do breakdowns and analyses of poems/raps, discuss poetry theory, and review poetry collections/books/classes.
If I censored the word “enough”, it was an accident. I only meant to bleep out the swearwords for my middle school students who watch my videos, so their parents don’t get upset, do you know what I mean? I’ll try to be more precise with how I edit next time.
I love watching new reactions to Ren because it brings me back to my first time, completely blown away, and I have been obsessed ever since. What an amazing human being.
The best strategy an artist can employ when attempting to help people with mental health issues is to be honest and vulnerable about their own mental health issues. There’s some thing freeing about seeing someone express struggles that you can relate to. Now, of course, if you don’t have any mental health issues, or if, instead, you are uncomfortable, talking about them, then I would recommend creating poems that address I hope, healing, and overcoming adversities
It’s a great way to show kids how perceived negative emotions like anger can be channeled into creativity. I feel guilty for enjoying this so much, but Ren’s rage makes this next-level, and it’s a visual feast. A shout-out to Kujo (Ren’s friend Kai), who played a more passive role but, even so, it looks like he can act!
Oh, always bring a bandana to Shane's work, gonna need it to wipe tears and edit out blowing your nose. The english teachers are trying to use Shane's work, but his channel disappeared. Go look at my comments on your other reactions where I commented.
I think he’s not mainstream because those who own the music industry fear someone like him because he can be political and point out the lies from media and governments!
Hey there, so in the opening sequence did you notice no covers on the books? The titles are written on the pages not a spine cover. My take is don't judge a book by its cover. 😊
It probably says bad things about me, but I wish I could peek into an alternate reality where Ren & Kendrick had a go at each other. The Lyrical genius and petty perfection they could both throw at each other would be brilliant. But I'd never want to see them actually beef.
Ren said in an interview at some point that he’d read in the news about a prostitute who was killed, and wrote Jenny’s story. Later he continued it with Screech, because the story was on his mind, and then finished it with Violets tale
Thank you for always supporting Ren! New version of Sick Boi releasing Oct 13th. That's the 1 year anniversary of the release of the Sick Boi Album. Ren said there will be a deluxe anniversary edition of The Sick Boi Album also coming out around Oct 13!
