I really enjoyed your video on freelancing; it’s a great resource, especially since finding useful information in English can be challenging. I recently moved from Pakistan to Germany on a work visa and am currently in my third week in Hamburg, where I’ll be working full-time as an engineer. Before coming to Germany, I was freelancing, teaching cybersecurity, and working on projects for various clients on Upwork. My annual income from freelancing is less than 10,000 euros. I’m keen to continue freelancing here while ensuring that I remain legally compliant. As I consider myself a freelancer rather than a business owner, I would like to know how to register myself properly. Additionally, could you advise if it is possible to work full-time as an employee while also freelancing simultaneously under the current visa regulations? Thank you for your help!
Hi there, Brie from social media here. Congrats on your recent move! If your work visa is taken care of through your full time job, then in may be best to set up a coaching with one of our experts to chat about freelancing possibilities and laws in Germany. redtapetranslation.com/product/relocation-coaching-custom-germany/ All the best! -Brie
With the US, it depends from which state it was issued. A license translation from English to German starts at 65 euro with us. More details about converting your license are here: redtapetranslation.com/converting-your-drivers-licence-in-germany/
@@RedTapeTranslation thanks for answering, my license from lowa state, I checked A11 list lowa comercial license no need testing and road test, is that true? Thank you, I'll call you when arr to Germany
Try us on mute with the subtitles! We strive to be accessible and engaging for diverse audiences 😊 (but your ears are astute - we had microphone issues that day! So the audio is less that our normal quality)
It so depends on where you are and who's around! Even some Germans say they're a "suggestion" while others will scream at you "Rot ist tot!" (red is death ) - a bit extreme... but yes for those who do need help crossing the street - children, elderly - it's setting a good example.
when Germans are more considerate than you, you're probably trash... which... you're French, so... yup, that checks out. how're the Holocaust denialism and relations with Haiti going?
Great video! Berlin is pretty special though, as it's unlike any other city in Germany. But I'm pretty sure anyone from abroad will experience the same four situations in any other major town regardless.
I have a naturalised driving license from Hungary, that was issued from Dubai, U.A.E. My question is, will the naturalised Hungarian license be naturalised in Germany.
Ooo that's a tough one! Officially, we don't have experience with this specific case. However, a valid EU driving license (Hungarian) can be converted to a German one fairly easily. You WILL need a certified translation of the license for your application. That we can do for you: redtapetranslation.com/product/certified-translation-driving-license-en-de/ Whether or not there are any extra steps because of the naturalization process from UAE to Hungarian, we are unsure. If you need help with the form and going through the process, set up a coaching and we'll guide you through it. redtapetranslation.com/product/driving-license-conversion-germany/ In any case, keep us posted!
Just be a considerate neighbour - agreed! And truth be told, we shouldn't stereotype. Germans can be loud and non-German residents can be quiet as well. :)
I appreciate this person. she has red all the comments and answered to each single person. this video help me a lot. I came from Italy. now I am living in Offenburg,Germay. So I wanted to know How should i convert and renew my Driving licence. I am originally from Sri Lanka. I convert Sri Lankan Driving license to Italian Driving license. a few months ago I moved to Germany. I think you gave me a clear answer for me too. but I would like to know If i want to renew my current Driving license ( my card is expiring next year), How can I should do it? Thank you so much☺
Hi there! If I understand you correctly, you are asking how to renew your current driving license? You'd have to check with Italy on that one - this article makes me think that you, originally with your Sri Lankan license, cannot renew your Italian license in Germany. Maybe it requires a trip to Italy? In any case, I'd recommend weighing the time/costs of keeping your Italian license valid or simply getting a German license. verwaltung.bund.de/leistungsverzeichnis/EN/rechte-und-pflichten/102837920 If your Sri Lankan License is also in english, we could translation that to German for you, or we could translate your Italian license to German as well. This you would need for your application to transfer the license to Germany.
Thank you for your helpful video :) I have one question. If I am a Non-EU citizen, is it possible to convert my drving license into German one before 6 months are passed? I wonder if I have to wait this 6-month period.
Thank you for this informative video!! I have a drivers license from Australia! Is there something I have to consider? Would I need to do the driving and theoretical exam again?
Hi there, Brie here. If you have important questions regarding your visa application, best to chat with one of our coaches about your options and what you need to apply. They can also help you fill out forms and make sure you have everything prepared properly for the appointment. redtapetranslation.com/translation-services/coaching/
@@Ashyang55 since it's an EU driving license, you don't actually need to switch to a German one - you can drive with yours. But if it is approaching expiration and you won't be back in Malta, you can apply to get the German one as a sort of "renewal"
Yes! Glad you found us. If you need further assistance with your application, just book a coaching with one of our experts here: redtapetranslation.com/enquiries/coaching/
hi. thank you for the informations. I got my driver license in Italy. now I want to come to germany to live. I want to ask that can I Convert it to the german one easily?
Great question and answer. I also have the same problem. I thought I should convert in to Germany. when it will expire, How can I renew it ? should I do always from Italy? ]
Brie here! Yes, and they usually have things on the side to add to the spice yourself. So you have some control over it if you or your friends can't handle too much. I always ask for "richtig scharf, nicht Deutsch sharf" HAHA :)
Do you know if models can apply for the berlin artist freelance visa? Can you apply for the visa once you've entered the country or do you have to apply outside germany?
Yes and you can apply while you're in the country.. I recommend browsing through your blogs related to freelance visas here: redtapetranslation.com/?s=freelance+visa Then if you need help preparing for your appointment we'd be happy to help. redtapetranslation.com/enquiries/coaching/
Hi there, Brie here. Let me check with Kathleen about the penalties question... I ACCIDENTALY left the KSK last year and it took me months to get back in. So I can tell you now - you'll need to talk directly to your insurance (like TK or AOK) and figure ou what your monthly payments would be based on your income. Similarly to how you figure that out with KSK. However long it takes to figure out, you will be expected to pay your insurance retroactively. So my suggestion is to put some money aside for that payment (it took two months for me). My guess is that you just need to send them a formal letter that you're leaving and stop your monthly payment. They'll then send you a letter to confirm.
Ok follow up on this from Kathleen: I've heard that it's not easy to leave if the law dictates you have to be in it, but a lot of people forget that they HAVE to pay into the pension on their artistic income. So if they leave, they technically have to pay their pension out of pocket. (Brie again) I remember now - I did also speak to the Deutsche Rentenversicherung people as well. They are super nice and easy to get a hold of. The minimum amount that you need to pay if I remember correctly was reasonable. Even though they are a pain in the butt sometimes, the financial and future benefits outweigh the annoyingness for me. Take your time figuring it out and good luck!
@@reniferZiolo oh yeah you can't be in KSK any more. KSK SHOULD automatically be informed of your employment and you can just stop paying. Sometimes they get so behind though and they won't notice for a while. But you can't be paying into insurance twice. Best to double check with your job's HR person to be sure, but this all *SHOULD* happen automatically.
@@RedTapeTranslation i was paying because i wanted to do freelancing on the side(didn;t really work out) but yeah for now its being paid twice ;) ill just let them know then
