Not having the OE downpipe - kinda makes a sound test useless unless we have that same downpipe- and I doubt many will as it takes a full days of work to even install a downpipe on a MK8 - unless you have a team and a lift.
Do you guys know if stage 3 on a mk8 r with a gt2563s on uniflex set up (when they eventually release a file) will need a lpfp and/or hpfp upgrade or will it be go to go with just the uniflex kit?
Great concept, do a video on overlooked maintenance on a car with over 100k miles. -Fuel Filter -Throttle Body Cleaning -Fuel injector cleaning or replacement -Engine flush -Fluid Change
Spark Plugs may need to be changed more frequently due to differing tunes on various vehicles, and are often overlooked when making higher power levels when tuning. As for wipers and cabin filters, it will always depend on your application but in some instances its as easy as removing a few clips, replacing the item, and clipping it back into place. We are always happy to help if you have further questions!
The P3 gauge is definitely a great addition and really recommend running one. We were not running any spacers with the factory Estorils. We do however have a flush kit if you are wanting to run some spacers for the MK8.
I wasn’t able to bring my MK7 this year due to it breaking down a week before AVF 😢. But thanks to you guys I got my MK7 back on the road and ready for AVF next year.
I didn't get to make it this year but watching this video makes it feel like I was there. Here's my highlight reel - 0:23 - "Can you guys come down and play?" - Noah 2:22 - Those guys are utilizing virtual haldex to the max 2:58 - The man... the myth... the legend... The axle killer in the flesh. 3:04 - The GOAT 4:10 - The kindest, most generous dynamic duo you'll ever meet 4:17 - I've said it before and I'll say it again... Phil is literally a model 5:56 - You're looking at a man that can do anything 9:34 - Paul is JACKED! Thanks for all the love and all the help with the TrailR. We couldn't have done it without you guys. Can't wait to hang at L'oe Show!
I put my Respect Your Elders shirt on this morning. My Jetta had a dead battery so i drove my blue MK4 R32 to work today. Come home and see this video on Facebook and realized i was driving the car on my shirt the day the video came out! How funny!
Damn, Kollin’s mk6 is like perfect. 2 door Mk6 R’s are still the best looking R yet, IMHO. I had literally the same exact car, 2 door in TR, and as much as I love my mk7, I miss my mk6.
Besides this platform, I also have a daily MK6 GTi stage 2, dp, fmic, full bolt-ons, w dsg tune. I love my MK8R, but more so the analog viseral mk6gti. Hopefully soon will have it stage 3...
with no DP the Track sounds better. No need to upgrade the DP on the MK8 R... gains don't justify the $$$... so unless it's for the sound don't bother. I think I'm going to get the Track AWE to go on mine, and just keep the stock DP.
does this require a tune? And also I have this intake but I also here that thud or plop noise at lower rpms. Is there anyway to fix that because that just sounds horrible and it's driving me nuts lol
A tune isn't required for the intake. The noise could be the front radiator/intercooler support. Double check and make sure the whole assembly is seated properly.
I just flashed stage 1 and i started the car, turned it off then started again but when I flashed for the tcu tune the car wouldn’t start. I had to turn it off first to be able to start the car. Will turning the car off before starting it mess anything up?
The tuning software should tell you to cycle the key before starting. The software has that at the end once it hits 100% which it takes to double check everything is good to go and clearing any faults.
I still think 4 tips are overkill. especially 4x 4" tips. 3.75", 3.5" is plenty. single 4" are fine. I wish my wrx awe touring system had twin single 4" vs the twin dual 4" it came with. the larger tips leave millimeters of adjustment space on top and sides.....
Hey guys, just a quick question..ive heard it's best to turn wifi in car off when mobile tuning , ie even confirmed in an email, just curious about Bluetooth? I know the phone's Bluetooth has to be on, but curious if I should turn wifi and Bluetooth off in car before my first tune? Thanks in advance
I have a concern I bought a 2022 GLI with it still being under manufacture warranty. If I do the stage 1 tune can I tune it back to stock when maintenance is due on the vehicle at the dealership?
