Welcome to the pursuit of great camping! Camping with the right gear, and good food, in beautifully peaceful surroundings can seem surreal. The balance of having a good measure of creature comforts, deliciously simple cuisine, all while experiencing the tranquility of nature is truly ideal. Join me in my quest for the perfect camp.
That’s what we always thought, and then when I saw the picture a little clearer on a larger screen this croissants last time it became obvious that it was a panther to me, but I’d be very curious to hear what your friends have to say. I have spotted a panther, 100% panther in the yard before. So I’m not surprised if it’s the panther. let me know and thank you!
Omgosh! I love this vid! Your 2nd camera is so much clearer. What a beautiful wildness in your suburban back yard! Also, you are so brave to tread out AMONG THE PINEs IN Florida because I’m gonna tell ya…..walking into 1 banana spider web would have me stripping naked and running for dear life 😂
Thanks for watching! That panther had shown up as a juvenile in our yards right on the cul-de-sac I live on years ago. I have seen that panther walking through my backyard, and he was so small that he could fit between the rails of the fence. He has never bothered any of our animals at all either. I feel extraordinarily privileged to have a panther calling the area behind my house his domain. They usually stick to about a 50 mile area. Thanks again!
Great idea, never thought to use one inside the tent , use it outside before. Thanks will have to get one for next season. Hope you have an awesome week.
That is awesome to hear. I am very techy and surprised that there is a way to do it as I searched every menu through. Please tell me the secret! Thank you! 🤗
It’s treated with what looks like almost a metallic finish on the inside, and it really doesn’t have that transparency that a regular tent would. The inside fabric reminds me of what we used to use in photography and filming to reflect light from behind the studio lights. They kind of look like umbrellas behind the lights. It really is quite effective.
Finn is an absolute super model. He could offer any camping chair to me and I’d buy it. From personal experience, both chairs are great but that pillow on the core chair is a real selling point. It makes a big difference. Also I could feel how much more relaxed you were when sitting in it.
I completely agree about Finn, and I do agree about the Core chair too. I think if someone’s significantly shorter, they might not like it as much as the kingcamp. For me it fits great! Thanks so much for your feedback!
I would personally take a stun wand and/or bear spray in certain areas and perhaps just set up the P-tent with a can of wasp spray (for non-lethal deflection of uninvited guests ... 2 legged, four legged, and maybe slithering...)
We used to, but I’m a bit older and things do change with age. Having a potty tent means that I can still participate in dispersed camping, which is fabulous!
I really like the table and Finn is adorable. I’m getting my camper van outfitted now. This is such a great stow away table. I’ve definitely put it on my wishlist.
Thank you! Camping with your dogs is the best, especially when you’re camping alone! This leash system was definitely a game changer for us. I hope you and your Sheltie have plenty of wonderful adventures!
Thank you for asking. Yes the porch comes with it as part of the tent. Here is a link on Amazon for the tent. I think there’s also a $50 coupon right now for this tent. Hope this helps and happy camping! amzn.to/4cV2eKp
I have the double, shower toilet area combo. Love it! Bought some restaurant rubber mats with the holes and the water goes right thru and the separate area keeps my towels and clothes dry. It also doesn’t seem as hot and stuffy I there. You are in a plastic bag in the sun, it’s hot in there. Just remember to put showers a distance from where you will walk, it takes awhile for the ground to dry.
@@CampingConnoisseur loved your video. Great sound and editing. I thank you for posting. BTW; those fly stips from the old days, at dollar general, the hang in the corners and keep flies down from the doors getting opened and closed frequently, just keep away from hair… far far away!
I like your outdoor potty tent. Nice and spacious. If taking a shower, I would cover the toilet paper. I would have a bottom cover to keep snakes and mice out. Happy outing!
Yes, I completely agree. With this tent there actually is a mesh flooring that can be pinned up out of the way when you’re using it as a restroom if you want. I keep mine pinned up but next time I am going to put it down. I was afraid it was going to get messed up, but now I don’t think it will at all.
With that set up, you can have two rolls, one under and one over. Then when you pull on either, it doesn't unroll the other at the same time......duhhh!
😆😂😆 The smell in my tent was minimal at the most. I use the high-quality bags and I’ve been pretty impressed. And then there’s that mine doesn’t stink! 😆😂🤗
Depends on the commode used. Mine doesn't. But it's a theford porta potty. Also, pine pellets work. When liquid hits them the pellets absorb the liquid and turn to sawdust.
I use the ones that she uses and it really seals it. It’s like two bags. The inner one you roll down and the outer one zips. It is very heavy duty (no pun intended…duty-doody). Super expensive if you are supplying a whole family.
@judymurray191 I’m always amazed at how small the final bag is! So far, since it’s just me camping, I’ve been able to justify using them. The fact that they’re so compact when they’re done really helps, especially if you’re having to carry out like I did last time.
So sorry about your arthritis. Yes, you can! I have arthritis in my hands and even worse in my shoulders. To get this tent up, you have to press two pieces together at the top. To do this I actually lean the tent a little bit over on the side because of my shoulders. After that, you put it back up and extend the polls out by pressing the release button on each leg, and just extending them out. When my hands are not doing as well, I will slip on some gloves, like gardening gloves that have rubber tips, to get a better grip and extend them out. I find the gloves, especially helpful if it’s wet at all. It is easy and a very high-quality tent.
Thank you so much for your interest, and sorry for the confusion. The links are provided and available when you access the video through RU-vid. If you go into RU-vid and scroll down on the description, they are below the description. Here is the link for the tent, and let me know if you want to link for any of the other components please. Thanks again and happy camping! amzn.to/3USgPye
Your videos are truly impressive, and I thoroughly enjoy them. I recently subscribe. Is it possible for me to have a conversation with you about your channel?
Thank you. I absolutely love that table too! It really is nice. I got it on Amazon. I am just about to post a video about it this weekend. Here is a link for it on Amazon. amzn.to/3VZypRy
I bought a “privacy tent” a while back, and the problem with it was that when it was dark, you could see right through it when you used a light. How can a person tell if it’s opaque or not? I haven’t seen any that specify that.
That is something that I was concerned about too. This one has a reflective surface inside so you cannot see what a person is doing from the outside no matter how well lit it is. That’s one of the things I looked out for when I was reading reviews on it. I love it! My regular tents are much like that too. They have a gray interior that’s heavier and you can’t see a silhouette from the outside. This tent held up so well this last week in the mountains I was so impressed! Brought it home and thought for sure. Have dirt all over it and need a good cleaning. It looked like it was brand new! Lol This tent is one of those things that I am so glad I bought. 🤗
