tip in the debate you should focus manly on 1,2 speakers and focus on the structure of the debate rookie mistake - don't say these words too much (your honor, your judicator, judge, panel
Ladies and gentlemen today ill summarise the debate and explain why my team won, first, ill rebut the other teams arguements then, ill reinforce my teams point and explain why they still stand at the end of the debate.
What happens when we are the first speaker? In terms of the first speaker, they are not able to use the opponents points, only when using counter arguments
Poor end of programme presentation. The debate topic was very poor. They started by giving prize to "best speaker" followed by best team (same as the best speaker), and then, in a very disorganised way, give each student their certificate and badge. The coaches were not very good speakers themselves when presenting! Will recommend against this programme to all my friends and acquaintances.
I love Speaking Schools Australasia debate videos. They are so simplified and straight to the point. Perfect for absolute beginners to debate and eventhough advanced, they give you a good refresher course.
