Kent Austin said Walker White was on schedule , he doesn't know much recognition yet on Coverages and setting protections . They want to ease him into it this entire year. He's a normal freshman ,he said . He keeps begging for Senior understanding and he's a freshman needing foundational understanding. He'll be much more understanding next year. True Physical Education Teachers probably are harder to find than anything. Truly teaching children Gymnastics at a very young age to learn how to move in ways we never learned, knowing their bodies. All other sports should be introduced to children, getting them to exercise in fun ways, not sitting all day. It’s more than rolling a basketball out or walking and running. If it’s taken seriously as a valid curriculum by the Teacher and Administrators, it can be a valuable asset, if it’s truly worked at with lesson plans and personal evaluations of the students.
There may be NFL “Farm League” type setup similar to MLB , kids from High School getting drafted into Rookie Leagues then maybe another tier like UFL from which NFL will call up.

When NCAA put forth the new NIL regs last year it was announced by the President of the Board of Governors that the NCAA would apply the new regs retroactively. He also announced that the NCAA would only go after the most egregious violations. The person who was the President of the Board of Governors and who made that announcement was Jere Morehead who is the current President of the University of GEORGIA. He’s no longer President but he’s still on the Board until August 2024. NCAA nailed FSU on NIL supposedly because GEORGIA ratted them out. The schools that NCAA are going after first on NIL are FSU, Florida & Tennessee. FSU got nailed on “ticky-tack” stuff and not on anything egregious. They’re going after Tennessee over “ticky-tack” stuff and not on anything egregious. So the Board of Governors, headed by the President of GEORGIA, are going after 3 major football schools on minor, ticky-tack stuff and nothing egregious 2 of which are GEORGIA’s conference rivals. I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I also don’t believe in coincidences.
Here’s what’s going on: When NIL began the NCAA put together some vague interim rules. Talking heads on TV called NIL the “Wild West”. As a result State Legislators stepped in and passed LAWS governing NIL in their state. Missouri, California, Tennessee, Virginia and perhaps others created laws. One of the items in those state laws is that HS student-athletes could sign NIL collective deals during their senior year. The student was not required to sign a letter of intent with a college before signing an NIL Agreement. Nico, then a California HS student, signed an NIL agreement. This was legal under California law, under Tennessee law and not addressed under the vague regs. There was something very important in those regs--collectives were not considered “booster groups” and therefore were not required to follow booster regs and restrictions. The NIL collective flew Nico from California to Knoxville in a private plane. Why? To do a recruitment visit with UT and to meet with potential clients for Nico to do business with under NIL. No one associated with UT had anything to do with the plane. No booster had anything to do with the plane. The plane belonged to the collective. Therefore so far everything was legal. No NCAA recruitment regs broken. No NIL regs broken. Everything legal per state NIL laws and NCAA’s interim regs. About a year or so later, whatever the timeframe, NCAA came out with brand-new NIL regs which are still in force. In these regs were 2 relevant changes among others. 1- Student Athletes cannot sign NIL collective agreements until after they enroll in college. 2-Since kids can’t sign with collectives until after they’re in college the NCAA was re-classifying, if that’s the right word, collectives as booster organizations and the collectives now have to abide by the same regs and restrictions as boosters. At the same time the NCAA made 2 huge announcements regarding the NIL regs. 1-if any of the NCAA regs contradict the NIL laws of any state then the school is to ignore state law completely and abide by the NCAA regs 2-NCAA will RETROACTIVELY apply the current regs to past actions. Since the collectives are now to abide by the booster restrictions and the current regs are to be applied retroactively this means that Nico’s plane ride, which was legal at the time it was done, which was legal a year or so later up to 1 day before the new NCAA regs were announced, and is still legal according to California & Tennessee state laws, is now considered an “impermissible benefit” under NCAA regs. Nico’s plane ride, once legal, now “impermissible” is what the NCAA is going after UT over.
Cats out of the bag for the NCAA. What the NCAA SHOULD DO. Is invite several chancellors, and athletic directors, and their lawyers. And sit down to see if they could hammer out REAL rules and everyone agrees. THEN wipe the slate clean and do what they can to make good the punishments on any athlete or school that was wrongly punished. THEN ensure they enforce from there. They also would have to go to each state AG and ensure they also on agree. To retroactively enforce ANYTHING is just foolish. If the NCAA goes down this road EVERY SINGLE SCHOOL IN AMERICA will be under investigation. NIL is naturally and inherently a REAL RECRUITING ENTICEMENT. Thats exactly what NIL is and always has been. And yes Tennessee is a red state. Texas, Alabama, Mizzou, LSU, Ohio St, Ole Miss etc. will all fall into this category.
Spyre Sports (SS), TN's collective, signed a contract with Nico (EE - UH - MAWL - EE - AH - VUH) but nothing was stated of having to come to TN. Nico was then an employee of SS and therefore could be flown any where in the country at any time as an employee of SS. Nico signed in February and was flown to UT in March. That booster they referred to is a part of the collective. The NCAA should stick with basketball tournaments only and get out of everything else.

Your numbers are wrong. His deal was for $6 million, and it wasn't with the TN collective. His deal was with Spyre sports group. They and the collective are legally independent of each other. His deal was with Spyre Sports Group no matter which team he chose to play for. If he were to transfer to another school they would still be representing his NIL interests. The NCAA hasn't got a leg to stand on here. They kept everything ambiguous 3 years ago and then are trying to go back and retroactively enforce another set of vague rules they have decided matter today. Every state should join this lawsuit against the NCAA.
Needs to be a cap on the amount of money that a player can get. Also players should have to stay two years at a school. Players should have to play in there last game/ bowl game.Then leave if they want to.
