He was the "Kaiser". Best footballplayer we ever had in Germany. One of the best footballplayers of all time. And he was goodlooking, charming, charismatic, very smart. I saw his blank ass in a time, where he did some goals for the team, which he was playing against. I saw him training. He is a legend. I'am so happy, that he was in my life, so sad, that he has been threated so bad from the press during his last years. I cried, when he died. He was an extraordinary human beeing. I will never forget, Franz Beckenbauer, the Kaiser. Thank you for that video.
Franz Beckenbauer was truly an extraordinary player and a remarkable figure in football. His contribution to the sport will always be remembered. Thank you for the comment.
With Kispest AC and Honved, Ferenc Puskas was the top league scorer three times with 50 goals in 1947 fifty goals in 1947-48 and won five championship medals. He debuted for Hungary at 18 and scored 84 goals in 85 internationals. Puskas scored 35 goals for Real Madrid in 37 European Cup matches including four in the celebrated drubbing of Eintracht Frankfurt the 1960 final. He was five times champion of Spain and four times the top league scorer. In the 1962 final Puskas scored three first half goals when Madrid lost 3-5 to Benfica. But what made Puskas unique was that he was a truly great midfield general who could score goals, and then in his 30’s a truly great centre forward able to score goals as the spearhead, and I never saw another player who could be so outstanding in both roles.
