My name's Sara and I created Starfish Maths to bring A level Maths teaching in bitesize videos by topic. I wanted to make Maths personable, engaging and as clear as possible. I use plenty of examples and exam style questions for you to try - always watch with pen and paper and have a go yourself. I speed up the working in places to encourage you pause and play, working at your own pace.
Whether these videos serve as an introduction, general practice or revision, I hope they are helpful to you.
Keep practicing and enjoy!

Please answer 🙏 In maxima and minima question how we choose which one is variable and which one is constant in polar form equation. Most of the time i have seen that everyone differentiation with respect to thetha not with respect to radius.
Sarah that was awesome. I was very sceptical at first with these crosses, but I’ve made notes of your technique and advice, and I’m a complete convert. 58 years ago I needed this for my O and A levels !! My notes are now going off to the western highlands for the son of friends who is studying higher maths.
i feel like i was never taught this enough, i mightve seen it at some point in the past but now i need it for differential equations, thank you for teaching it to me
Your an amazing teacher. I love your step by step approach, clear working out, and slowly teaching from easy to hard. Please can you teach quadratic graphs? This is the best maths channel.
@starfish maths at exactly 9:17 time in the video, how did you get the 6/5 outside the bracket. The part where you said something about using a calculator or my magical mind. I kinda went off track from there.
sorry in minutes 4:46 number five in the solution of that question where x to the power of -1 multiplies 1 in the bracket and the index is added wont it be 1-1=0
Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this so clearly. Your explanation was incredibly helpful and easy to understand. I especially appreciated the way you broke down the information into manageable chunks. It really helped me grasp the concept fully. Now I feel much more confident in my understanding.
