At 6:30 in the video you mentioned you like your 1st layer thicker by you show your layer thickness at 0.64. Not sure understand since you left your first layer setting at 0.3. Can you confirm which is correct? Thank, I love your videos
Since i started printing pla at 180 to 195 degrees i have not seen any stringing. The parts may be weaker than printing them with higher temps but i print only pieces for aesthetic reasons ( figures, miniatures, toys)
Can't find the " XY Separation " in Bambu Lab Studio... do you know what equals that? I think it is "Support/Object XY distance" but that is mentioned in mm and not %
It would be really wonderful if you could get to the point without spending so much time on other things. One day hopefully you will get to a site that for example "ultimate guide to 3d printing" would start with "pont number one" etc/,
I use the friction welding option when I combine pieces. Basically stick a piece of the same filiment you print with in a dremel or rotary tool an turn it on and run it over the seam
Ive been printing only for 3 mknths, but i ended up buying 7 bambu printers and i started with pla+, i finally tried petg last week and was severely disappointed. Pla+ from elagoo was stronger, more flexible, easier to print, and in white i can imagne it being pretty weather proof.
A couple random thoughts… it looks like the PETG is holding up really well. But I’m wondering if ASA was considered as it’s designed for outdoors & UV exposure. Also any thoughts about remixing plant holders for holding net pots there’s a bit less plastic waste?
One of the best videos I've seen in ages,, I actually learned something and would buy you a pint of beer but I keep knackering my phone's emailing the stuff 😂😂
If you think about it, atomic replication would also really help with advancing humanity on the Kardashev scale, hopefully reaching Type 2 within a few thousand years.
Pardon? 7:09 first layer height 0.3mm; print layer height 0.64mm with a 0.6 nozzle wait what. Oh yeah i can see a little earlier that you've inserted the wrong profile picture from a profile you don't actually use, the one you use is actually 0.3/0.3.

What type of growing pods fit in that and do you have to sprout the plants first or can you put seed right into it? Do you use any special liquid formula to help keep the water clean and the plants to get nutrients?
I came looking for help after some tree supports turned into a fused, bombed out coral reef on a print and just tried again with these settings and it was so much cleaner- thanks!
When I click a video for a topic as specific as this I don't want a historynlesson of what support material is. Ni already know that, I just want a better way to take it off without burning 7 minutes
I was given a 1" thick pool table slate, and cut it into 24"x24" pieces. It works great as a poor man's surface plate for building, then as a printer platform.
Im having trouble getting a decent flame, its just a torch for mine, I switched to a natural gas jet and that helps but it might be more dangerous now?
mmm, look at you in your nice little house! i sure wish i had bought one of these in Denver about three years ago... Thought that the prices were ridiculous back then, was hoping the pandemic would fix something.. Boy, am i stupid! We live in a 3rd world country now.. If you think otherwise, please, ask your kids! Damn boomers, and their voting habits..
Thanks for the information. I’m excited to try it out! I was wondering what you use for lights when growing indoors. Is it an attachment you connect to the tower?
I’ve seen a few where they print light holders both into the cap and the cover for the water reservoir and hold it that way. And they use the tall lights, maybe 36” tall?
