Began career in the early 1980s as Producer of Natalie Merchant and 10,000 Maniacs. Had Gold Record with "Hope Chest" (Elektra). Founded Community 3 Records in the mid 1980's and produced 35 albums for that imprint. Joined the Bindlestiff Family Circus in1997 as the Ragtime Piano Man and created volumes of circus music to accompany the acts. In 2003 reactivated the Lydia Thompson Troupe from the 1870's as "Ixion Burlesque" thereby adding Live Music, Group Choreography and Greek Mythology to the Burlesque scene in NYC. "Ixion, or the Man at the Wheel" was revived and produced on 42nd Street during the 2004/5 seasons. Performers whose careers were launched include: Natalie Merchant, Brenda Kahn, Molly Crabapple, Jos van Wissem, & Veronica Varlow. Also worked with: Alex Chilton, Todd Rundgren, GE Smith, Foreigner, Prince, Joe Franklin, Twink, Jayne County, Billy Name, Butch Vig, Lex Grey, Drew Barrymore, Nora Jones, Dirty Martini, World Famous *BOB*, Mary Ramsey, Sol Yaged - and more!

Конкретно эта песня была и есть шедевром, а не только сейчас, на фоне всего сегодняшнего гэ. Эта песня, на момент её выхода, и этот клип, были намного лучше основной массы попуасного гэ 90-х. К сожалению, этот клип показывали на дециметровых ТВ каналах, а не на центральных, федеральных. Там крутили всяких поп-певичек, за ротацию которых платили их волосатые лапики. Зато сейчас это видео приятно смотреть, и слушать эту музыку, а то - даже и вспомнить нечего.

I recorded this LIVE at the NOLA jazz fest... the band wanted to sign with my record label but there were many complications dealing with the NOLA Musicians Union... so we just put out the live recordings that I had made.

During the 1993 "Presidents' Day" episode of the local cable show "Mary Virginia's Coiffure, Cabaret, and Calisthenics" with Marie Blake as the guest. Stephen Miller produced this show with Gaylin English and Jack Young, filmed at the 5 Oaks by Michael Barbieri during a horrible snow storm... Included in the background was Jay Bradley, Tracee Dunblazier, Tony Kaplan, and Joe Monteleone. Stephen Miller was singing along with Marie. Great to see, as always, but please give credit in future use. Thanks!
