Does the dual-side printer have two complete mechanisms so it can print front and back in one pass? OR, does it have one print mechanism, print one side, flip the card over, and then print the other side? Is thee any reason I couldn't use a single-side printer, print the front and flip the card over and feed it through a second time to print the back? This would be for a low speed operation.
I already have and use a DTC-1250e and it does leave a white border around the edge of our cards. If I switch to a colored CR-80 card, like black, would it even work? Or would the black print just blend with the black card?
Does the printer usually give you a warning that the ribbon or film is low? We're having issues with it where it suddenly said we need to check the film but it doesn't look low or anything like that.
I need to do a Network installation. Is the driver software used to provide the drivers for connection to and management of a remote printer (connected to a print server), or am I setting up the local computer to act as a print server for other remote computers to connect to. If so, what windows firewall rules needs to be put in place, if any?
Can we use MA300YMCKO-100 on this type of printer ? I see that the package said compatible with "Rio Pro 360 Neo" but when i insert the ribbon it said "Wrong Film Type" , do you know how to fix it ?
Who care if it looks great, I care if its reliable and does a great job. It kind of does. This printer is very finicky when its used on-site. (schools for example). Should be use for office stationary only. It does print nicely, but new more affordable printers with new technology are catching up to this very expensive and clunky model.
Magicard 600. If you use it on fine mode, you can hardly tell the difference. It is way more reliable. One drawback is the driver. When used with windows PC sometimes you have connectivity issues. You have to know how to work around it. I have 5 printers and 4 of them never give me issues. They connect and work everytime. One is a bit of a pain, where I have to reset my computer and once it connects, it works all day! The Fargo has great quality prints, but reliability its just not there, when you work volume and you are depending on it. it really messes things up. For half the price, almost same quality, I will go for the Magicard 100%!
How good would you say the print quality is on this fargo. Is it truely high definition, sharp images. Also, is the print roll expensive. Thanks for your input
Hi! I need a card printer for a small theme park, where we'll need to print membership cards for some of our clients. Let's say 4.000 cards per year. Is that printer a good solution in such case? Or any other product we might consider?
Terrible Video for someone like me looking for general information on this. This is only OK for someone who already owns the older model and nothing for new customers or someone looking for information on this.
@@DjamilMatamba is it meant to be in a powered on state 24/7 then? We just set ours up, haven't even done a test print yet - working on drivers, but I can already smell the overlaminate heating up. Should we just unplug the machine for a hard-shutdown? That seems bad for the machine. Thanks for any insight.
