Found this song quite by "accident" at 3am when I got up to put more wood in the stove. I couldn't go back to bed until I knew the flames would take hold from the few hot embers left so I looked on my phone for a song to enjoy while waiting. The only light in the room came from the flickering golden firelight thru the glass doors on the stove that danced on the walls and Im not even sure why I picked this song...I could just barely see the song choices but I choose this song and hit the play button. This is one of my favorite worship songs. It impacted me so deeply two decades ago that my wife and I had it sung as she walked down the aisle on our wedding day. As she came through the door, these words were sung: It's all about you, Jesus, And all this is for You, For Your glory and Your fame, It's not about me As if You should do things my way; You alone are God and I surrender, It is certainly a moment I will never forget. Twenty years later we are still walking together, more in love than ever; and more importantly, more in love with the love of our soul, Jesus!
Is there a non-"rock music concert" version? I've been looking. The drums and blastness of adrenaline to get people in the mood or trance is a headache and distraction, it makes it so I can't focus or think about God. I can't even hear the lyrics. Plus they're going so fast. Not trying to worship the actual worship. Just want to listen to the original hymn in its reverential quality that still preserves the integrity of worship. Slow normal version used to be on RU-vid. But I understand CCM has taken over pop church culture.
The Lord woke me up this morning with this song. I now found it and I'm playing it over and over with the loop. Please pray for me as I am still facing healing that is hard. Woke me up speaking this Word to me. God bless all of you.
