Possibly you hear with only one ear. (It seems to me personally the best stage of Metallica in terms of sound quality and balance in the band) I'm talking about the live shows. I had the opportunity to see them in 1993 and then several times in 1996 and 1997 and honestly I prefer the stage of 1996, the whole band sounded spectacular.

@GloryDouble7198 The Black Album is a Classic, Yes their previous efforts are better, You cant expect their music not to evolve. Any how everyone knows a bands first 2-3 efforts are often their best work, nothing lasts forever. You got no understanding of how longevity works.
Ladies and gentlemen, this was METALLICA. Great, amazng songs, in tune, no mistakes, amazing drumming, sound and the elektricity....Somehow they were more focused.
mixture of being lazy, lack of practice and having a shitty toy drumkit. like he is still a great drummer at times, but that little orange kits sounds like shit, his massive white kit was the best, and this one is the second best kit
iv been 3 times, oh you clearly dont notice it live, his drumming is great. yet when you just sit back and watch from a video the orange kit really doesn't cut it. like compare that to the Black album kit, load kit or even his st anger kit (live kit), the orange one is really kinda plasticy
