Dylan O'brien has been cast as Mitch in the movie American Assassin (based on "Consent to kill"), and you can see the first images on the imdb page. I haven't read the series, so I don't know how good the casting was. Any insights? I know that they wanted someone younger, in case they're making more movies, and Dylan is absolutely fantastic. Incredible. He'll do a great job!
Keanu Reeves or jim kaviezel would be my choice, but i dont think there is any actor who can fully meet the characters of mitch, a guy who's an ultimate patriot willing to do the impossible for the greater good. whoever is suppossed to act here should be very new in the acting industry. may be for the sake of the viewers and fans, hollywood should go for a real special forces operator like a seal to star in the movie/series
Yes on Joe Manganiello for looks but not sure if he can pull it off. He has to make us believe that he is deadliest weapon in the world. Hemsworth is more ideal with some change, dark hair and brown eyes and a good tan. Jim is to slow, Dylan is not rough enough and Gerard has that thing with his lip that is distracting.
Mitch Rapp= Joe Manganiello. Size, build, hair color, etc.. Plus he's known but not too well known and he's not already identified with any known character, (IE- Christian Bale will always be Batman. Daniel Craig people know as James Bond, etc.)
Gerard Butler is just wrong as Rapp. He'd be better suited to the role of the terrorist that Rapp hunts and encounters in several stories - the terrorist who took the White House Hemsworth seems more ideal as Rapp LOVE the idea of Bruce Willis playing Stan Hurley
Kennedy seems like "M" from James Bond. Judy Dench. But the book has a different description on how she looks. If Judy Dench was younger and more attractive(no offense to her) she would be perfect as her character from James Bond.
But Rapp has dark eyes and hair. Maybe he could be Coleman his Navy Seal buddy. But I would think maybe a younger Dolph Lundgren(drago) would be more the guy. haha. Then again, maybe not. That would be like having Arnold Schwarzenneger as Rapp.
