Awesome camper. Ive been look at hard floor and cant justify the price, old caravan and cant justify the leaks. Something like what you have is ideal, great work, amazing price. Thanks for the inspiration. Cheers.
Hey mate ! Good review on what looks like an absolute bargain of a camper. We have recently bought an older MDC walkthrough which is very similar to yours but definitely not as refined. Love your slide out fridge and pantry setup. Haven’t seen that configuration before, it looks really practical. My biggest gripe with nearly all the soft floor campers is the ridiculous setup of the awning as indicated by your 25 minute set up time. I believe I’ve solved the main problems with it by investing in rawconn poles which is an Australian business as well. There is a couple of youtube clips on it and I’m certain it will help a lot. I’ve just done a trial run with them but haven’t actually gone camping in it yet. The other thing I’ve just done is bought 4 new spreader poles for the awning from BCF which are long enough as a 2 piece pole rather than my stupid 3 piece and then I modified the end that attaches to the eye with a dog lead clip so it can’t accidentally fallout in strong wind. Hope this helps and if it does maybe you could post a video on it, as I think you’ll help a lot of people out with the same problem.
Hey mate thanks so much for the response! You wouldn't believe it but my partner and I were only just talking the other day about the rawconn mod for the poles to make it quicker! It seems that it would cut the time in half at least! Definetly something to look into! We also need some spreader poles for the awning to stop it pooling when raining. Definetly happy with the purchase all these months on and thanks again for the comment mate :)
Wow very slippery track mate well played to get out out there you dont want to be stuck in the mud with no way of getting out yes bribie is a beautiful place mate 😂
Looks like you need a snorkel on your Prado bro. You don’t want to kill your engine doing all those water crossings. You’ve got a really nice set up in that car and that seems to be the only thing missing.
Nice trailer mate! We opted for a soft floor as well (Trackabout Safari). The benefits over a hard floor in storage, weight, and space for the kids far outweigh the cons, in my opinion.
Great part of the world we went there the climb was hard but worth it lots to see around there we stopped at the bush rangers hideout its a cave back in the day he was running from the law cool to visit great content mate real and raw 😂
... if you consider that the majority of the mass of both plants and trees is Carbon, which is extracted from the air, it's not so mind blowing.... or maybe it is 😊
Good clip and great spot. But please for the sake of every other camper out there, do the right thing and DON’T collect firewood in a National Park ! It’s illegal and just gives National Parks more legitimate reasons to close parks off for good for all … then all of us will no longer have to the beautiful hidden gem you mention at the 15:50 point, the same time you’re collecting firewood 🤦♂️
