This is survival. The other baskets I see is usually way too complicated and time consuming to make in a survival situation. In a survival situation, you want fast and as simple as possible. The time saved making containers can be used to find food.
@@kullcraven Would absolutely like to see new video on this on a larger container and maybe even lid for storage. Maybe say you've smoked some fish and want to store it for a few days in something like this.
cool vid Wayne good to see you posting again, any overnight campouts coming and sorry you couldn't make the Puckerbrush gathering this year, I remember the vid you posted about being there
Yea, i was looking forward to going to Puckerbrush, but it didnt work out this year. :( Chris and i go camping pretty much every other week. Tho not much different going on, so i dont record them. lol All the best.
Wow....I forgot... I have a c.1977 Charter Arms in its box somewhere in the rear of my safe !!! Never was that reliable.... but I may dig it out and give it a second going!!!
Wow charter arms version, that is way cool. I heard the Charter arms had a few problems that was fixed when Henry started making them. I watched a video about it but i cannot remember what it was. lol A 1977 wow that would be awesome to own.
Thanks Alan. i have changed it up once again. I had 3, 2 strokes and everyone started sucking air. So i went to a 4 stroke, not as much power for me. Im liking it thus far, on a crusier bike.
I have these sights. They are lower than the stock sights on the rear and impossible to get a cheek weld on it. If I place something between my shoulder and stock that’s about 3 inches thick I can get back far enough to make it usable. Otherwise it’s no good.
always cool to see what's in the box, ya that first knife reminded me of an Opinel, is the Adventure Log Book of water proof paper so you could use out in the field, take care Wayne
Great video! Burning efficiency can be improved by creating air space UNDER the utensil holder; place on 3 rocks or add legs; etc. I've found severral at thrift stores for only a dollar each. Great buys! May God bless you. I've decided to sunscribe!
For those knife collectors out there like me another knife that does pretty much what the both of these do and has been fun to play around with is a hmong style knife, they are pretty cheap from hmong market
@@kullcraven the hmong style bowie knife and the yakut style bushcrafting knife have been 2 interesting knives ive been messing around with for the last couple years and been very impressed by
@@kullcraven I bought a small forge a few months ago so I can try my hand at making my own this summer but I slipped down the stairs carrying a BBQ grill and broke my ankle lol so I'm recovering from that now
For minimalist kit I like a 10x10 or 10x12 tarp, works for plenty of room for a shelter and ground mat in one. I like a stainless steel bottle nested in a stainless steel cup, a bic lighter wrapped in gorilla tape, a 6 inch ferro rod, about 30 feet of paracord, small fixed blade knife with 90 degree spine and a good wet stone. I grew up in the woods and back then we mostly just carried a knife and a bic lighter until we found out about ferro rods and between those 2 items and a good pot or bottle we camped out in debris shelters and forts all the time. We learned about huntin, trapping tracking and fishing. It's pretty amazing how much stuff people feel they need in the wild, most of it is just creature comforts.
love the look of it for sure...remember the quiets are going to be off a little cause of the grain, doing the reg and then quiets like you did Bro I would say it bang on, like you said standing is a little hard to pin as there is too many things that could make it off, your grouping with all them was bang on, bet if it was on a table you would be dead center.
Thank you Dish, and your welcome. 22lr has many advantages in my opinion. It delivers a punch for small to medium game, the ammo is light and budget friendly. Almost every caliber besides 22 up my way is 1to 2 bucks a shot or more. Lol.
Hi Wayne how you doing. Good overview on the Skorpio , .22 . I love the .22 bolt actions. My dad bought me a Sears model 2c bolt action .22 for my 18th birthday. I used it for decades. It shot sweet and I could hit a 12oz soda can bottom at 50 yards consistently with the open sight. Many squirrels fell to that rifle. Good video.
I love the bolts as well, this is a awesome rifle. Great price as well. I don't shoot more than 30 yards usually. Most of my hunting shots are within 30 yes usually closer lol . Thanks for the watch and comment. I been doing OK with all things considered. :)
Wow! What a great idea! I was getting ready to go buy a roll of rawhide string for a project. But after watching your video, I’m going to try this instead! : ) Questions please… You said to keep the rawhide somewhat firm for easier cutting with scissors. How long did you soak the rawhide before unrolling it? Before wrapping your axe, how long did you soak the rawhide string? Did you soak in warm water? Thanks for this great idea! : )
Well done Sir! Thank you! I always keep green, and black Kevlar string of different strengths (100#, 500#, and 1000#) in my bug out bag. The 50# is very thin, and they take up little room, and have major benefits. Cheers
