Sing Sing is the BEST MOVIE of the year and deserves nominations in most categories. The movie was shot on 16 mm film, in 19 days, with a very small crew. The DP, Pat Scola should be nominated for an Oscar for cinematography because the visual look, the lighting, the film choice, all created the naturalistic atmosphere to tell the story. Accompanied with Bryce Dessner's score that sells the beautiful scenes and intimate facial expressions. And kudos to the director, Greg Kwedar, who allowed dialogue to be ad-libbed at times, which created the emotional essence throughout the film that tugs at your heart. The cast deserves best ensemble because 90% of the cast are the formerly incarcerated men that participated in the RTA theater program while in Sing Sing and that authenticity shines. And what can you say about Coleman Domingo.... he deserves the Oscar this year, his performance is perfectly understated, and he allows the other men to shine because this is their story. Well Done!! Also, Clarence Maclin and Paul Raci both deserve best supporting nominations. Their performances tie the strings that pull the film to its brilliance. Best movie overall in a very long time and well worth the emotional journey.
I have seen the movie, it genuinely is really good. After a certain point in the movie the entire tone of the movie just shifts into more of a darker tone. I’d reccomend giving it a shot, it does not disappoint.
I feel like they caught the essence of it. Clearly this isn’t the finish product nor are they done editing the film currently according to the director. Scar been had a British royal accent, even in the original
But you can see the gens that ahadi has the same fur colour as mufasa and the same mane colour as scar /taka and ahadi also has the same shape in the nose as scar and the same nose colour as scar and uru have the same fur colour as scar and the same nose shape and nose colour as mufasa and so you can know that mufasa and scar are related to each other just because you see the same things on the parents and their kids so mufasa and scar /taka are biological siblings they are related in the original story
No in the real story mufasa and taka /scar are biological siblings and mufasa was the oldest child so he was the rightful heir to the throne that’s what the story was supposed to be but Disney changed it for the new movie
Blake was romanticized because the film is told from Amy’s point of view. No matter what, she loved that man. Also, you cannot blame another person for her addiction. Her addiction to alcohol began years before she met Blake, and alcohol is what killed Amy. This is giving the same energy as people who still fucking blame Bobby Brown for what happened to Nippy (Whitney Houston). No one can force anyone to be an addict.
In the 2015 documentary her friends state something along the lines of 'whatever blake did amy would want to do also' kinda insinuating that she was so in love with the man that she would genuinely be willing to get addicted to drugs just to impress him. Obviously it was amys choice to do the drugs but blake was one of the only people who supply amy with drugs even after the hell it caused her in her life and so he fuelled her addiction. Amy, the documentary, was made entirely through archival footage of her life and interviews with people in her life such as blake so whatever you take away from the documentary is yours to take away as its an unbiased perspective. Back to Black is a hollywood romanticised telling of Amys life that doesnt have the balls to say anything and likes to make shit up, even if those things seem small, just to tell its narrative. The movie doesnt delve into Amys addiction beyond the surface level and it doesnt try to say anything about anyone in amys life such as blake or her father and so the film fails to say anything and can be dangerous to people who are learning about Amy through the movie and insulting to fans of hers, hints the controversy.
This movie is very VERY promising, i adore voice actors, i personaly think they fit the characters. Just warning ya, dont listen to the community saying its bad, they dont have taste, they just yap abt changes in original story, the original story is boring as hell, here we got new adventures, New places, characters and lore! Im so exited for this movie to come, it will for surely make lion ki g popular again!
@@wildguy4773 outtake as a whole is excited to see where they take the story. It’s directed by Barry Jenkins who is a wonderful story telling! We will keep you updated on the latest news on this film on ours socials
@@avengersearthsmightiesther9777 books and lion guard arent canon, animators of original even said that they are not brothers in latest interview of 2017 but rather a lions from same pride
@@wildguy4773 I never said lion guard and books were canon, if we are talking about canon, let us just talk about the lion king movie in 1994 and the CGI version in 2019, Mufasa and Scar live in the same pride, if they are not blood related, they wouldn't have to live together. If Scar is the rightful heir of the pride, Mufasa wouldn't have a chance to be the lion king, let alone the part about Scar had to kill Mufasa for that throne. Hell, Scar even asked those hyenas to kill Simba when Simba was just a lion cub.
I really can’t wait to see the origin of Mufasa and Scar!!! I wonder if the idea of the white lion, Kiros, and his pride fighting Mufasa and Scar might’ve been inspired on the controversy of Kimba The White Lion vs The Lion King. 🦁😆🖤💛🧡❤️
While Channing is a -little- bigger, it’s not by much - Gambit’s coat and balaclava make him look thinner than he actually is. Just look at Gambit out of costume in 97 - he’s muscley.
Writer/ Director David Goyer ....in my opinion... takes the bulk of the blame for Blade Trinity. Everyone is hating on Snipes refusing to find out *WHY* he did that. Note than Goyer was the writer of all the Blade movies and Snipes had creative input as the producer for all the movies....until Trinity when Goyer pushed to become Director and producer on top of being writer where he focused to making Blade a side character in his movie intent on making a spin-off for Reynolds and Biel to be the actual supernatural hunters while Blade remains STUCK doing only vampires. There is an after end credits scene in Blade trinity that proves this where it shows Reynold's + Biel's characters take down a *WEREWOLF* to set up the spin off. This scene was later cut from the main film and placed among deleted scenes. NOTE: It was Wesley Snipes who lobbied and pushed HARD to get play a superhero. He initially pushed to play Black Panther but the budget required ... at that time... was too high for Newline studios so Snipes pivoted to Blade on condition that he modernized the character which is how we got all the sleek hair cut, gear, tattoos, costume, mannerisms, etc. It was also Snipes who pulled Donnie Yen to be in Blade 2 and request Yen to choreograph some fight scenes. Snipes also had some level of creative input towards the story or at least the screenplay as a producer. All creative plans and inputs are of course discussed and sorted out between all the writers, producers and actors before a movie is made. In Trinity, Goyer was given greater creative control ... He started ignoring everything Snipes suggested for Trinity and apparently Goyer made changes to the already agreed script without informing Snipes. Snipes trying talking to Goyer about the sudden changes. Goyer was adamant. Snipes went to the studio execs and they over-ruled Snipes on favor of Goyer. This is where Snipes utterly lost it and attacked Goyer. Basically Goyer had power grabbed the Blade franchise away from Snipes yet it is Snipes who started the whole project which is why studio execs gave Snipes creative input and producer credit ability on all Blade movies until Trinity. Snipes got trapped.... He was under contract and refusing to do the movie (Blade Trinity) would have been a contract violation which had *VERY* hefty penalties on top of reimbursement of all production expenses up till the point of the violation which could have been in the 10s of millions of dollars so Snipes basically felt *FORCED* to finish the movie. Unfortunately Ryan Reynolds became the innocent by-stander recipient of Snipes frustrations and there was nothing Reynolds could do to de-escalate the situation. I strongly suspect Reynolds knew this and has taken effort to .... in his own way.... make amends with Snipes requesting Snipes to be in his Deadpool and Wolverine movie *AND* also trying to promote Snipes towards Marvel to give him his last hurrah as Blade in a manner symbolically similar to Logan movie.
Well especially the original pitch of blade trinity would’ve been a post apocalyptic earth where the vampires would’ve won and blade was going to be a lone survivor fighting off the vamps w/possibly the nightstalkers. And that concept sounded awesome but it got rejected because it was too dark. Which I think was dumb considering the blade movies are r rated adult friendly movies. How much dark is considered too dark?
