I think it would be interesting to see Still Hunt tested with Song of Flames active. Since SoF gives scorching rounds the ignitions caused would be modified by any damage multipliers on the gun which makes me curious to see if an ignition caused by cayde's retribution would deal insane damage.
Why do you choose this boss for testing out of curiosity? It’s weird hitbox structure, it’s immune shell and the fact it moves quite rapidly makes it a poor choice for a number of weapons in my opinion.
i think its because its easy to get too, and the boss doesnt move towards you meaning you cant hit yourself, also not all bosses are perfect so a annoying boss kinda shows how it may work in reality
People use it because it's easier to hit precision shots compared to phry'zhia from grasp of avarice. The few ads in the encounter are isolated so it's easy to test perks that proc on kill. Different enemy types warrant different dps strategies. It's not a one size fits all sandbox.
@@realshadowlord all of those weapons except izanagi are not top dps weapons anymore. Even izanagi feels worse when still hunts just works better except if you want to fully spec into a heavy with BnS.
Thank god someone can see the light . I swear to gos some mfs just use copium weapons that just make shit 2x more annoying to beat and just ignore the meta completely .
Interesting. But it seems like you need to do a lot more setup with this with surges and such to make it hit like that. Not to mention Cloudstrike is frankly more of a pain to get than Still Hunt (even if Still Hunt gets a nerf, I don't see Cloudstrike dethroning it). And then you have to consider if this is really more worth it compared to just running a legendary Linear Fusion.
“Yeah. The 2 highest damage exotics in the game, one of which is a heavy with borderline infinite ammo, and the other is a sniper that shoots golden gun shots, both of which define a new era of destiny 2, would probably do better than this option that is only really used for solo Nezarec!”
Still hunt does around the same damage as merc, but you can do really good rotation with auto loader. the only problem with still hunt is the precision shot, if you miss your dmg will be bad. Merc can empty your mag really fast so you can deal a lot of damage in no time, pretty easy to use but it's not good for long range, that's when you would rather use still hunt.
When the dungeon came out, I was using the Hakke GL (Solar) with cascade point and gamblers dodge with Solar surge mod and radiant granting lightweight knife. My only issue was Akelos zooming to the center with pause or slowing no matter how much damage that would lay out. Would see a lot of clops of Akelos slowingn as it took damage, extending the dps phase. Never seen it myself.
