It's not common for a local news crew to do an excellent job covering a situation like this. But Channel 12.......Above and Beyond Journalism. Well done.

Once again East Providence Police on wrong side of the road hitting a car head on. Yes I'm sure the department blamed the victim of the crash on police reports. That's what they do to cover up their own misdeeds 🤔
After hearing about Ruby’s death I cried like 20 rivers worth of tears because of her death but now that I think about it I kinda think the movie Rescued By Ruby was Ruby’s goodbye gift anyways Rest In Peace The hero Ruby.
7 March 2023 I watched the movie, Rescued by Ruby, yesterday. Today I learned about her death 9 months ago thru RU-vid videos. I'm thankful she and Corporal Dan got to experience the how their story touched the world while she was still alive. Ruby was loved by many, such a good dog. <3
I volunteered at a local theater that was having a sneak preview of the movie. Dan & Ruby were going to be there for question & answer after the show. (I live in RI so Ruby was our very own special dog). I really looked forward to meeting Ruby. 5 days before the screening was when Ruby got ill & was euthanized. I cried because of her dying & that I had so wanted to meet her. The movie was wonderful. Dan's boss came in his place along with a cute little dog he owned. Also Scott Wolf appeared on screen. So there was question & answer with both of them. It was very fun & informative. Like, Bear was also rescued by the trainers shortly before she was to be 'put down'. Everything she did in the movie was learned in just 6 weeks of training!!
“While on duty, Dan became trapped inside a burning house, suffering third-degree burns and crushed limbs before being rescued by his fellow firefighters. After recovering from his injuries, he came back even stronger and has continued to thrive in the job he loves so much. “
That was a horrific to watch. I have even more respect for firefighters after watching that. So blessed that all are well now and so sad they were injured. So scary.
This is a great story of survival under extreme circumstances and how team work is an essential element to survival too. Glad these firefighters made it out safely. Sad that a citizen elsewhere did not make it. RIP.
Watched this film with my parents and my German Spitz. We all loved it, both the film and real life. It's amazing how two misfits can be so compatible :)
Cop was probably recklessly driving like they usually do and as you can clearly see the cop was on the wrong side of the road hitting a innocent car head on... But I can bet you that's not how the police report will read. The EAST Providence police routinely falsifying police statement's to benefit them and screw the victims
Ruby was put to sleep last Friday at 11 years old due to a cancer diagnosis. Dozens of officers came to visit her hospital room beforehand to pay their respects. Later, we held a memorial for her on the hospital lawn. It was very emotional to see.
Today I watched this Netflix film. Wonderful story. Ruby's breed of dog mixes are intelligent and working breeds of dogs. Breed for jobs. High energy. Intelligent. So Dan was right in training her for a k-9 dog. Thank you to Dan & to Ruby for saving people. ❤️ 😊
Just saw a news article about Ruby. She made the Google News, that she was 'Put Down'. Didn't say why. Does anyone know why? Age? Chronic Pain? I hope it was a mercy, not a punishment. I need to go see Takis Shelter now... RIP hero doggo. No chain, no cages, no kill. ❤️
I read that Ruby ate the sweetner xtyitol which is poison to dogs & vet had to euthanize her, fatal for dogs. I read this today Monday May 16th on the Bing news feed.
Dan had Ruby for 11.5 years & she was about 1 year when adopted from the shelter, makes her over 12 years old. Very sad ending. RiP Ruby, over the 🌈 rainbow Bridge. Shr had a long & wonderful life with a famiky who lloved her & was working a job she loved!!!!❤ Who can ask for more?!!!!❤🙏💔💕
@@deborahklinlger8565 That's tragic! I refuse to have xilitol in my house & food for this very reason. I check everything for it before I let my dog eat something new. Rip Ruby. You did not deserve xilitol. Stevia is a much better sweetener anyway. Xilitol tastes worse then aspertame imho.
I don't eat any artifical sweeteners. Also grapes & chocolate are poisonous to dogs. Maybe raisins too. I think there might be other human foods too. I currently don't have any pet dogs. So you know aspartame turns to embalming fluid in the human body when eaten or drinking. If you currently have a dog researched what human foods are posionus to dogs & cats.
