Hello Jake here I work at bringing old equipment and tools back from sitting and giving them another chance to be used. With a fleet of farmall cubs and a few cletrac dozers. I go to shows like the National pike steam show and display and use my old equipment. Hope every one enjoys.
I finally put 2 and 2 together. I know who you are now. I see you at the show every year. I will stop by and talk with you in August. I like your set up on that tractor. I'm looking for me something to bring up and play with. Everything I find is either to big or too far gone to fix. Thanks for the video. Marty B.
Yeah the little bit of plowing I did was inbetween rain storms. Most every thing Was a muddy mess. The corn stalks did not help much. It was fun none the less.
That old D6 that is out there. It is all most impossible to run a level blade of dirt with. It has johnston bar and the littlest rock you run over changes your blade of dirt like 10 times. It is because of how they set up the blade only off the tracks on that model. It needed to be off the frame pushed by the tracks.
Will have to get a video of puting it on. It is fairly simple the 153 disc plow has two clamps that clamp the plow to the U bar on the fast hitch and there is a pin that holds the rear from sliding.
I've seen the standard belly mount, just never the fasthitch. They look the same except for the fasthitch part. Pretty neat. I've got all moldboards with fasthitch but I've heard they made a disc, just never seen one.
Jake, is that by chance the one you gave me a ride in last year at the show? That looks to be absolutely miserable to reach down into to work on. Worse than my skidloader by far.
Good to see a video from you. The snow is mesmerizing, makes me kind of slow down and take it all in. I found used rubber roofing on marketplace for covering things up. It was cheap and heavy enough so it doesn’t have to be tied down much and doesn’t shred in a year like those cheap tarps. Didn’t get everything covered but better than last year.
Most every thing is tarped up and covered except the tractors. I am trying to build a building to get them under cover. So far it's been a busy winter and haven't had a lot of time to mess with anything.
I have a 151 pull behind disc plow for a cub a one disc draw bar disc plow. When I bought it the disc was so worn out it would not cut into the ground. There great plows for hard clay, rooty ground and sand.
Australian farmer here. That BD looks to be a very original dozer,Very nice.I have a really good original BD myself, but it is called an Oliver. A 1952 model with a Britstand blade that is very similar to the American design.
Yeah there great machines. My 52 has a Oliver manifold it does have a cletrac rad tank tho. It was a farm machine and lots of farmer fixes but it works.
Yeah first thing was didn't think to pull the shrouds off on the engine to see if there was a mouse nest in it. The second problem was the linkage was removed going to the carb. So when I started it it ran at full throttle and pelted me with the mouse nest.
@@jakesoldiron I’m at the BadgerSteam and Gas show thinking about going and eating breakfast and the thought of mouse nest pelting me isn’t exactly appetizing but it did make me laugh. Anyone doing this sort of stuff and says they never forget to check something is lying.
My uncle passed away a few week's ago, and he has one of these next to his barn. So what i wanna know is how I'm gonna transport this thing because my house is pretty far from where my uncle is. Any tips
Sorry for your loss. If it is a BD-sh like this it weighs about 9000 lbs little over 4 tons. It is eight feet wide with the blade. There is a BD-H that is the exact same machine but sits wider. If it is not running your best bet will be to find a towing company with a large roll back that is how I moved my machines when they were not running. I had a friend with a F350 move it to the show after I got it running and was able to move under its own power. If you use Facebook look up cletrac and Oliver crawlers and tractors lots I have gotten a lot of help for my cletrac from them.Hope to see it going again and need any thing ask. Jake
Thanks that was the first time really having the camera on the tractor. In the video from the plow days this year I got a lot better footage of the plows working.
Saludos cordiales desde Ecuador Primera vez veo este tipo de arado que lleva en medio de las llantas. Pueden realizar un vídeo como esta echo el sistema de arado.
The one i have on the Cub is a F-153 fast hitch disc plow it is for the fast hitch's. They made a 152 disc plow witch is a bolt on style. They work really well in hard dirt.
Boy she runs nice what color is she going to be Back to Orange I found you the color contact the Wayne County road Commission they have a Nice orange I think maybe a second color band
I always like to see something different rather than the usual Clatterpillars. The Cletracs and OC-18 were a treat to see. BTW: When I was leaving on Sunday I noticed a clam bucket lying in the weeds near the dismantled Caterpillar D9. You might look into it to see if it's available.
The clam bucket mention above is for the Gas+Air crane with the wood house in that bottom area. Hopefully we can get that crane started soon then start to restore it.
@@jakesoldiron If it’s a 1 yd clam bucket, you should check it out. Your Insley should handle it ok if boomed up high enough. Might be able to trade it later for a 1/2 or 3/4 yd clam. I had a 1 yd on a K model and it worked fine.
