It is quite the awesome game when I first played it over a decade ago and it still holds up well today.

Great pickups, I will get a copy of Contra as well, just waiting for a price drop. Had that pinball game as a kid, it's really not bad. Glad the algorithm recommended your channel! You got some good stuff, keep it up!

Thanks! I've got a lot more content along the way! The new Contra game depending on physical or digital will make a big difference in price and for the other stuff, I've been known to be resourceful and got a ton of games to cover over time, especially the PS1. If there is anything you'd like me to cover, let me know!

Contra was good .. Kinda fellt like back in the day. The Mobil Graphiks werent that great but the game really was decent but short ...

Yes, they could have added a little more, but for what it was it was pretty good. Maybe this would mean they do something with other entries that were released, as long as they dont cover Contra Force which I owned before but absolutely did not like in the slightest (I think nobody liked it either).

Great pickups man! Agree with you on Shadowgate, really cool game. For the time it had superb writing, especially on consoles. Few NES games managed to build such atmosphere. Painkiller was a total mood! Loved it on PC, only played the first game though.

Yes, I loved that kinda of trilogy of Shadowgate, Deja Vu, and Uninvited. I still need to find the other two. I never owned all three at once so this will be fun to seek out.

NES OTHELLO CHEATS. CHEATS, I TELL YOU. Also, the camera losing focus on your sneeze made me chuckle.

Yeah losing 62-2 or worse is kinda funny and I didnt notice the focus was lost on my sneeze. I dont like sneezing on video but I wont edit things out usually either.

I was very lucky to find it and actually find it working! I need to find out if there is any more games that are compatible for it, but as it was released in 1983 right as the crash was taking hold, I am not sure if there was any others.

I did not know Super Mario 64 had a rumble version, that's pretty cool! Did know of the Wave Race 64 version, which had some other differences, like the ghost dolphins, if I remember correctly? Was anything significant changed/added to Super Mario 64 as well?
@SonyPlayStation1SM
@SonyPlayStation1SM Месяц назад
From my knowledge I did not see anything significant in SM64 that was different from its original. I was surprised to see the ghost dolphins in WV64 and considering these were released less than 1 year from their originals, that was awesome to see!
@HalfBlindGamer
@HalfBlindGamer Месяц назад
@@SonyPlayStation1SM Indeed, it's quite the valuable addition to any racing game and a shame it wasn't included in the initial release. Besides the rumble, it really makes the re-release the definitive version to get.
@SonyPlayStation1SM
@SonyPlayStation1SM Месяц назад
So True! It made the game a lot more immersive. It is a shame that Europe and North America were left out on its 1997 re-release especially when the Rumble Pak was doing pretty well atleast Stateside.

My very late condolences Jimmy! Your father sounds like a wonderful man and a true inspirational figure for those around him and a true fighter with all he's been through. Strength to you and your family man! I'm sure you'll keep making him proud as he watches over you grow further. Some cool pickups. I love that you have a genuine interest and understanding of sports games, a topic most shove aside very easily. I must admit this also holds true for me to a degree. Which makes it all the more interesting from someone who's actually knowledgeable on them as it's always great to learn something new in the area's you're less familiar with yourself. In that regard, would love to see/learn more of the X68000 Z. Not a system I'm likely to acquire myself, but very intriguing! Which goes for the X68000 in general, really.

Thank You So Much, Seb! Yes, he was a fantaastic man and it is a relief he is a better place and was able to pass away with natural causes as a result. I loved sports games since I was a small child. My father was the one that got me into playing them and have enjoyed the for well over 35 years now. I plan on releasing more X68000Z items soon including the August 2024 release they have in Zoom Pack II. The X68000 is a very expensive hobby to get into, I have never picked up a computer in the line even though I came so close to doing it when I was at BEEP in June 2018, but ultimately it didnt happen. I still use the X68000Z nearly every day since I got it in October and its a damn good replacement!

I would definitely avoid sellers that overcharge for shipping to make up for their low BIN (buy it now) listings, in case I would have to do a return/refund claim (usually only the BIN price/winning bid price gets refunded, and not the shipping costs). I'm glad those Saturn repros have met your expectations! 🙂👍
@SonyPlayStation1SM

Yes, definitely on those shipping costs. And people thought I was crazy when I brought that up in the last generation of videos! The repros as always went way above my expectations!! I hope you get some business from the sponsor, you totally deserve it!!

Thanks for the tour man! Awesome stuff, one could spend an eternity in that room, haha. With such big collections, there just is no simple way to display it all, especially with limited space available. I hope to have my heap sorted out as neatly one day!

Thanks Seb! I hope to make it even better soon, I had planned on getting more shelves and change the layout but I ran out of money being unemployed for over three months and having no real revenue streams. I really do hope that can change soon enough so I can do something awesome with it and have the space again.

Great to have you back on the Tubes Jimmy! Never been to Japan sadly and I'm by no means in the know when it comes to Japanese PS1 games (I have like 1 or 2), but I do know that at just ¥2,000 that was an amazing deal, even back in 2018. It is kind of interesting to see how rarities can be radically different based on region. Many Japanese games can be quite a bit cheaper and many are perfectly suitable to play, even if you don't understand any Japanese. Of course this doesn't hold true for those very much sought after RPG's.
@SonyPlayStation1SM
@SonyPlayStation1SM 3 месяца назад
Seb, I definitely plan on coming back with new Japanese PS1 content without a question. It seems like the group is ready for me to talk about a few thousand of them and your point on the games that change radically on rarity based off of region is one I definitely want to do and/or restart. I am considering bringing all the 3 Regions Videos, our friend, and in a way boss, Danny suggested a long time ago to do and I have put that on the shelf mostly since the Museum had to close in 2020, but since then I have gotten a ton of games that I can say now own a European, Japanese, and North American copy of so content is forthcoming! I hope to bring back the old crew from the Lancaster City Dragonrats era (2007-11) and the 1st SP1SC&M YT era (2015-19)'s videos into play but not release them all as a lot of them are junk in my opinion but some of them definitely hold true even after all this time!

Finding the footage, then the photos of these wonderful finds were more than enough inspiration to make this video, six years after the fact! When I first shot the footage, I was 36 years and 2 days old and on the day of this premiere I am 41 years and 362 days old! Alot has happened over the last 6 years and this combines both old school and new school aspects of the SP1SC and who I am! Please enjoy and spread the good word of this!

This video was shot on the entirety of what was known as Longsquan Street on October 16, 2019, since renamed to Chayamachi Street in the Ryusen neighborhood of Taito-ku, Tokyo, Japan. The apartment building in question was demolished in late 2021 or early 2022.
