Thank you so much Professor AK, Did you realize that your dog was trying to inform you at 3:26 that you should not have waited 16 years to replace your manifold.
You got that right. I was trying to figure out how long these dry joint exhaust systems last and couldn't find any definitive answer anywhere so I contacted the inventors of it at "Performance Product Technologies". They own the patent on the dry joint system. I talked to the actual man who invented it (name escapes me) and I told him my set up. I run in a mix of salt, brackish, and fresh water and that I diligently flush after every use. He said he would not be surprised if they lasted longer than 20 years (but understandably did not want to imply a warranty for that long or anything). My boat is a 2005 and still has the original dry joint system on it and it runs as good as ever.
I have dame but After a while, when it gets hot, the water comes out a little and it is hot. Is the problem with the pump or is the valve damaged? Is the cylinder head gasket damaged?////Give low gas or gas until the end of the body does not affect the speed
Hello, Overheating can have several causes. Assuming you have a diesel engine with close and raw cooling circuit: 1/ check, that your heat exchanger and close cooling circuit has enough coolant. (Open heat exchanger lid and check level- fill up if necessary) 2/ check if your water pump is picking up enough water (large and steady spills of water should come out of exhaust. If not, change inpeller and check for blockage at water intake area.) 3/ check thermostat for correct function ( if not change thermostat) 4/ check that coolant circuit, heat exchamger is not blocked - clean obstacle or replace heat exchanger if necessary. Old heat exchangers can get blocked up by salt and other deposits. Also very common problem is parts of broken old impeller stuck in cooling circuit. Head gasket damage can be checked by pressure test. See videos on how to perform cylinder pressure test on diesel engine. In my experience, most overheating problems are related to obstructed flow of either raw water or coolant. Good luck!
Lol "without taking it apart?" You have the manifold set on your table? You will need to remove the manifolds to inspect them!! If they are removed, throw them away and buy new ones. Saltwater lasts only 5 years and fresh 10
So pleased to have found your video. I'm getting reaquainted with my Beta 20hp engines (there's 2 as the boat is a catamaran). The video was very clear - super helpful, thanks.
Hi, i personally think the same. But i have no fault code, sound is is good, ride is smooth and vibrations stop once in gear... A mecanic who came and connected the engine to a dignostic tool and saw it run, said it is “normal”, and that the ECU runs the engine in neutral at such low rpm, that is almost stalls... (my idles @700rmp in neutral and @900rpm in gear)
Great job ! I'm a big fan of your videos. Can you advise me if such a hydrofoil makes sense for my boat QuickSilver 755 with outboard engine mercury F225? Thanks
Dear friend, depends on many factors... Do you have trim tabs? -no? Is your boat heavy on the back and has difficulty in getting on plane? Too much drag? Do you have a cavitation or handing problem? Hydrofoil can help you solve or reduce above issues, if prop change or engine mount height and trim adjustment fail.
I understand, I will definitely need your help and personally judge on my ship how to tune it and catch flies. 😏 in the spring, I would ask your advice for your professional advice and be part of launching a boat 😜🥃
Sablonu (logo, napis sport, napis made in czechoslovakia...) by mel mit ulozenou p. Hnat z www.lepena-reklama.cz dlouho jsme to spolu ladili... Bohuzel neexistuji prakticky zadne dokumenty k lodi, nebo k jeji vyrobe. Nejtezsi a nejdrazsi bylo sehnat nekoho, kdo vyrobil plexi. To byla prakticky zakazkova vyroba vc. kopyta... preji hodne stesti a radosti se sportem 50! Krasny clun!
Yeah... lucky it was just a “gentle” bump... sometimes its hard to take care of everything if you are alone... and obviously, as per Murphys law, it was the only spot not coverd by a fender... :-D Anyways, all good.
Nice video! Do you have the Numbers of the filters? I saw, Mann WK 812 is the diesel filter, right? But what is the Number of the oil filter? Thanks and kind regards!
