Do you seriously think the Employer is responsible for what goes on INSIDE the employees home? Besides overreach, doesn't that mean taking on unreasonable liability? Employers are already being legally challenged on use of "tattleware" software employees aren't being told about.
Well done as always, Chuck. William made some great points in his presentation. I would add that while program outreach does not affect the work that the threat assessment team conducts, it is vital to the sustainment of the team. Word of mouth is great, but the licensed advertising of the teams knowledge, skills and abilities along with official points of contact are necessary as well. Excellent job gentlemen!
So I am currently in Fairbanks Alaska, I am an active duty soldier. I have about 10 years of being a security guard for securitas, universal security, G4S and many other small branches. I am also trying to advance my skills by joining Asis International. I will be exiting the army in 2024 in april, what certification should I aim for in Asis? Like should I aim for the CPP or the APP or the physical security?
Hello, you are welcome to Asis international. To start with you can join a local chapter and register as a member. Again about the certification, APP is ideal to start your certification program. Looking forward to having you
After you pass the CBT exam,Can someone with like a 60% english proficiency pass the academy? Im in the ready pool but this Academy scare a little to me because my english. (I was a Police Officer for 20 years back in PR and 4 months as a Disney screener)
They work. I found out the hard way. Size up and get better coverage. You just have to add extra velcro to the straps. Because I went a size larger, I had full coverage over the kidney, where I took a round not long ago. There is no such thing as a bulletproof vest. I still had an acute kidney injury.
TSA Agents are cops for all intents and purposes and they only get two weeks of training? Police officers get six months of academy/classroom training with an emphasis on handling people properly. From my contact w/airport personnel this is something sorely lacking in their makeup.

A two week course! That is nowhere near enough time to learn everything they would need to know to spot a potential problem. Two weeks Isn’t even enough time to learn how to be a manicurist. Two weeks is not enough time to learn how to cut hair. Two weeks isn’t even enough time to know how to speak to the public. Do you really think two weeks is enough time to learn how to spot all the many different types of explosives and weapons out there? I know I’m being harsh but let’s face it TSA is done! The TSA is a tax payer money pit nightmare! TSA violates our constitutional rights every day! TSA has never found one terrorist yet. Prove me wrong!
Is there any sponsorship program to gain this level of certification? I am a small business owner in private sector security consultation, and very interested in attaining this certification or learning more about how you go about empowering security systems integration throughout the world. Thank you.
