Well, you see, these people believe that the United States should be an autocratic Christian theocracy. Where laws and ethics are informed by ancient scripture, and secular values of acceptence and civility toward those you disagree with are set aside. Clearly the theocracy would be pleasing to God so therefore we are justified to lie, cheat, and steal in order to get our way, which is God's way. We feel righteous and justified in doing as we please because we walk with God, and He with us. Can the Libs make any such claim? Hell No!
You must be so proud of your daughter! I for one am proud of her for not only having the courage to put herself out there but also discussing such a heavy topic. I had an abortion (for medical reasons) at 20 weeks. I was 100% against abortion for me personally but pro choice for everyone else. My longing to have a child but knowing it could kill me was heartbreaking. It is not an easy choice, it is the hardest a choice a woman will ever make. It is absolutely devastating. Having my mother say "I know you want to save your baby, but I want to save you, my baby girl" broke me . I cried my eyes out right up to the second I was put under anaesthetic. Fortunately I live in a country where I was looked after throughout the process & offered therapy afterwards. I truly feel the deepest sadness for the women in American who cannot receive the care I did.

On this subject, "Pumpkinhead" and his ilk should be asked three questions: 1) Do you have a uterus?, 2) Are you a gynecologist/obstetrician?, and 3) Are you in ANY way directly involved in the pregnancy? Unless he/they can answer any of those questions affirmatively, their opinion doesn't matter!
I have been obsessed with the Victorian Era for most of my life, good and bad. In the Victorian era, there was something called Baby Farming. Basically women who couldn't afford to care for an unwanted baby (whether because they were unmarried or they had too many children to handle) would pay a fee to another woman to "take care" of the child for them. The most common methods were starvation and strangulation. Then the bodies would be thrown into the river. I believe one of the more prolific ones racked up over 100 victims. THIS IS WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE BEFORE ABORTION!!! (Or rather, when medical abortions were extremely dangerous and noticeable. Abortion has been around for as long as humans have known that eating certain herbs can "bring on a period" and there are a LOT of them!)
Whatever happened to spending money on the hungry and needy? The sick and afflicted? Now every one of these “pastors” need a huge church built, millions in salary, and flashy events. This is so far from the message of the Gospel.
