I am haunted by the needless death & suffering of this tiny kitten. That vet poisoned her! They should lose their license! Convenia obviously should not be given, especially not to a kitten. I can't forget Nutmeg. She was a basically healthy, affectionate little kitten who could have lived a good life. Unforgivable!
Greed and unaccountability have gotten into the veterinary profession. Not only are they too expensive, they are uncaring and kill pets.. I don’t know anybody who takes their livestock or their pets to them anymore. Licensed veterinarians that care.., are going house to house. people have to sign off, but our animals are alive

I'm so sorry about your loss! 😢 just know that you're not alone. We are crazy about cats we know how you feel. We used to have 40 but, they got old, got poisoned and killed by our dumb neighbourhood dogs😢 know we are down to 29. I feel for you.

I'm so glad the vet I go to is so good with the animals they treat. the entire staff and the clinic's founder truly love the animals they are trusted with. you need to name the clinic that did this on every social media platform out there. they should lose all licensing and be shut down now.

I guess I am blessed having 24 hours emergency services even on holidays. I don't care if I need to drive hours to get to one but watching an animal suffer like little Nutmeg is just heartbreaking. Poor baby 😢.
Frined, you're Mistakes was not waiting out the weekend. Over the counter eye drops would of help until. She would of been fine. The food an atmosphere care you provided would of help her immunity bounced back in progress. Nutmeg is in Paradise !!
Im so sorry for your loss, I wish the beautiful kitten would’ve have a longer life but because of the vet’s bad guidance she suffered lm so sad for the baby.

I'm so sorry. I help cats and kittens in similar way as you do. I did have different bad experience with many Vets. If you find good one, stick with it as much as you can. I lost some cats also because of bad decisions of Vets. I found one that is decent and can communicate with me. I stay with them and don;t go anywhere else. There is no room for mistakes when life is at stake.

"CONVENIA is indicated for the treatment of skin infections (wounds and abscesses) in cats caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida." Did they do a culture? If not, that's strike 1. "CONVENIA should be administered as a single, one-time subcutaneous injection at a dose of 3.6 mg/lb (8 mg/kg) body weight." Wanna bet they screwed up the dosage and basically destroyed her organs?
I'm so heart broken from seeing this. Nutmeg was such a sweet little kitty. I fell in love upon seeing her. You did what you thought was right and non of this is your fault. The reality of seeing you bury her hit me so very hard. I haven't cried this hard and this much since losing my cat back in 2018. You did what you could to help Nutmeg, and for that I thank you. ❤️
Also, never ever ever accept experimental or "new" medication. Always go for the known and tested ones. Be especially weary for ANYTHING made by Pfizer. Pfizer is EVIL incarnate. They treat anything even humans are labrats and have ZERO accountability.
This is one of the few negatives of living in rural areas. No hospitals or doctors nearby. Nothing is nearby and those that do exist, even if they're far, might SUCK. Especially when it comes to cats, in rural areas they don't care much or don't have the right stuff for them because nobody really cares about them and nobody treats them. At least that's how it is where i live.
