Talking Pictures TV - talkingpicturestv.co.uk - Do you remember the thrill and excitement of Saturday Morning Pictures? Where heroes and villains and clowns and crooners, invariably in glorious black & white, would entertain you for hours. Now those glorious days return, and it’s not just for Saturday mornings. It’s twenty four hours a day. Every day!
So, grab your bag of popcorn and your drink on a stick, take your seat in the one-and-nines, and re-live some of the rarest gems from British film history; plundering the deepest and darkest vaults of Pinewood, Twickenham and Shepperton Studios to present a wide variety of nostalgic treats.
Talking Pictures make sure that if they are showing a series or film they will make sure that it is officially banned on RU-vid. Mean minded. They do it time & time again and should be encouraging the young to watch these old films on any source.
I'll look forward to seeing the footage of Laurel and Hardy, I love those guys! I'll be at the TPTV festival when this episode is on, so I'll watch it on Encore later.
at the tender age of 17 and a half (exactly) I was in the RAF and sent to an Island just off the coast of Oman. It was a remarkable experience.. However, harems were not available!!!
Neol, I really hope you will be showing the series ' Man in a Suitcase ' A great early 70's Private Detective action series, staring Richard Bradford in the lead roll.
I never thought that over fifty years later I would be sat watching programmes I watched with the granny in sixties Glasgow . The real tragedy of course is just how bad the BBC and ITV have declined in those intervening years . Well done Noel and all at Talking Pictures .
If anyone had told me that a channel like "talking pictures TV" would exist today I would have not believed them ! We are very indebted to Noel for his inspiration to create such a superb entertainment outlet for the excellent series and films that the other channels ignore.
See the newsletter, it mentions "previously unseen" ones: "Mark your calendars - only thirteen days to go until we revisit the wonder that was Z-CARS. Noel has been trying to license this series for many years, but the earliest episodes, which we wanted to start from, are taking longer for the BBC to clear. But fear not - we may just have to play the series backwards!! So, we are starting with the earliest episodes available, and then at the end of the series, there might just be some previously unseen black and white episodes. Unfortunately, more than half the episodes are also missing, but Noel will keep you all posted. The series begins on 28th September at 7pm and continues every Saturday."
Are u humming the theme tune? Not this version! When the Beeb either repeat or do a feature on Z Cars, they always concentrate on the early years, forgetting about the later years!
