Feed my squirrels only on holidays😂 but I give them fresh water every day. If I don't keep up, they knock my dish over & one of my favorites will knock on the door like "hry! You're slacking on the water!" Love squirrels 😂😂❤
I feed bunches of squirrels, and not only can they smell a bad nut. They usually bury most of their nuts & if the peanut is open even a lil bit they won't take it because it will rot underground. They only take the open one's if they're going to eat it right away or that's all there is. But try a completely closed peanut next time. It took me awhile to figure out why they would take some and not others, i started to noticed all the open peanuts are the last ones on the ground. So i tried my theory gave one an open peanut & she wouldn't take it, than gave her a closed one and she took it. I love squirrels they're so intelligent & adorable❤
