Looks like they are going to add every blade of grass on the planet for FS 24 let’s hope the don’t deliberately leave out the most cinematic and satisfying camera mode the the sim ever had
you talk about button "C" to control the plane in drone mode. I my case it does not work. how can i find out whick key i have to toggle ? or what is the name in msfs settings , so can do it myself . tks a lot
Finaly .. after 28 years back in MSFS and found this beautiful solution to create a fly-by - which btw almost all other FS's have under a single button. However .. dispite of the "complexity" now you/we can tweak it and set it up the way you want it to be, from every angle, which you can not in almost all other FS's On the other hand it shouldn't be a big problem for MS/Asobo to offer the opportunity to bind a key for a standard Fly-by view. Thanks a bunch for the effort to get into a "problem" like this and come up with a beautiful solution.
One of the cheapest fix for msfs is a compelling camera system to properly enjoy the visuals, the fixed 1980's camera system makes planes feel like cars.
Thd camera system in msfs is nothing short of f#%ked. It was so easy back in the old days with all the camera apps you could choose from. I wish asobo opened it up fof development.
The critique of MSFS's camera system is still valid today. I'm enjoying MSFS, but the camera system in Xplane just works so nicely. In MSFS it feels like pulling teeth to do anything.
Hi,looks fantastic.Would this work on Xbox series x?U.I looks the same so i guess it will.Too bad on Xbox series x whe still don't have a replay cam with fantastic TV style fly by cams.
Yes I had figured that out myself some time back :) FlyBy's are my favorite camera views in ANY Flight Sim. Since MS Flight Simulator v3.0 (i guess?) flyby was introduced and I had always used that. I know, i hear some of you saying "but you have stay in your cockpit as you fly!!". Yes, but to break a long boring cruise sometimes you just need other views to keep you entertained. For the life of me, I just don't understand why, with all it's visual glory MSFS2020 doesn't have this simple view bind in one key! You have to do all that stuff to get that spectacular view. Hopefully in future updates this can be bound to a key. :) I like to make cinematics, and flyby's are very important for me . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o2A9v8FU0Qc.html
Thanks for making this tutorial. What in the world were they thinking when designing the camera mode? I fly many simulators and this is by far the most convoluted of all.
I've been fussing with how to do this this forever. This video showed how to do it consistently (even though laborious). KUDOS for a great instructional video and THANKS! P.S. What keyboard macro utility do you use?
What a Great Fly-By Camera Tutor !!! I Learn a lot !!! Please, could you tell me where we can learn how to get a working “fixed spot Plane View” for the MSFS 2020 external view, as it was created on the past for the FSX Flight Simulator, just changing “Flat” to “Fixed” at the line “Track=FlatChaseLocked” at the (Cameras Defenition.004) of the FSX (cameras.cfg) file. The objective with that, is to turn only the plane around a spot in its external view, without also turning the surrounding scenery with it, to simplify for us all it's relative position perseption . Thanks.
Wow, I have to give you 100% for contribution to flight-sim community for something that Asobo scores 0% for. However, as a flyby solution I score it only around 20%, as even this is still extremely convoluted (yet probably the best we have for now) AND one will have to do all of this EVERY SINGLE TIME for EVERY SINGLE PLANE! If there was a way to save that camera position permanently and universally and simply hit a key or joystick button to activate, I will give it a score of maybe 70%. The lack of a flyby view is the single biggest reason I have almost completely stopped playing MSFS 2020 and not purchased it yet (still using the "free" option with Gamepass subscription).
