Apart from Stevie’s widely appreciated brilliance on the guitar , kudos to Reese Wynan’s masterclass on the Hammond .As a second division player myself that was a premier league performance. That guy sure knows his onions and I don’t mean the green ones ( sorry but you might need to be a hammond player and English to fully get the last statement!)
Great set!!! Bad odds my best bet. I calculate what they insinuate, and that can saturate or even sedate the masses, who stand until we can no longer, the noble throngs upset and starving before the throne. Takes a Kingsnake and a long, gritty blues moan to set the tone. Gotta love this set! ~RaVen~
IL PIÙ GRANDE BLUES MAN ❤ RIP STEVE.,IL GIORNO CHE SEI VOLATO IN CIELO ,HO PIANTO. 😢 MA UN PENSIERO É SEMPRE RIVOLTO A TE, IO NON TI HO MAI DIMENTICATO. QUANDO HAI FATTO IL CONCERTO IN ITALIA ,1984,UMBRIA JAZZ.GRANDE CHITARRISTA.
As much as I love the early F. Mac, and especially Jeremy Spencer, I never bought this album and am just getting into it now. I was much more familiar with the original album Fleetwood Mac, Then Play On (not much Spencer), and Kiln House. So in my old age I get to listen to Mr. Wonderful !!!
I started playing the guitar back in the late 90's. Playing to my favorite heavy metal bands when my uncle said you don't nothing until you hear this. Totally blew my mind away when I heard Stevie play for the first time. I liked Hendrix but just hearing Stevie's blues was astonishing. Thanks uncle.
Brilliant. By two of the best blues artists. I saw Janis Joplin at Winterland, San Francisco in 1969 with this band. Savoy Brown opened. I wish I had seen Michael Bloomfield. A great guitarist who learned at the feet of Chicago's best blues musicians. RIP Janis and Michael.
I roll and I tumble, cried the whole night long Yes I roll and I tumble, I cried the whole night long I got up this morning, feeling that something going on wrong Well now want you to love me baby, or please let me be Yes love me baby, or please let me be If you don't like my peaches please don't shake my tree Well I want you to love me baby, and come on and say you'll be mine I want you to love me baby, come and say you'll be mine If you don't like my potatoes, please don't dig up my vine
That's one of the best duo blues combo, totally different side of john Mayer, but was frickin awesome. Never get tired of listening to it.mayer missed his calling
It doesn't mean anything really. "Mary Had a Little Lamb" is a children's nursery rhyme that Buddy Guy turned into a rock-n-roll song. As in many nursery rhymes there are words that are just nonsense but they sound fun and whimsical. That's what the "a-tisket a-tasket" part is. It's just nonsense words that rhyme with "a green and yellow basket".
