As a non engineer, could someone answer me these two questions: 1. I've seen videos that explain that lift is created by a pressure difference above and beneath the airfoil. I can see that, but speaking intuitively I always thought that lift was created by a transfer of kinetic energy of air molecules to a body: so when an aircraft is traveling at 300km/h its wings are being hit at this according velocity and thus „pushed upwards“. Is this absolute nonsense or is the described event actually occurring in a similar way? 2. When an aircraft is flying while trying to remain its current altitude is it plain and straight or is it oscillating while constantly adjusting the angle of attack (myb similar to a bicycle that goes seemingly straight but is actually constantly balancing out by going left and right)?

Hello, current physics and Aerospace eng. (4ish semester an UACH), I gotta say that I'm a little bit high rn so don't expect much. 1. The thing it's way more complex than just a difference in pressure, it's just the easier way to say that we don't completely understand why planes fly/stay in the air. But yeah, the explanation it's that the upper part of the wing it designed so the air passing through that gains more velocity, thus creating a "void". I'm in 4th semester tho, some day I update you with a better understanding of the phenomenon. 2. Idk, a glider it's pretty stable ngl, my favorite type of plane 3. Don't treat me as if I was an idiot who said something wrong, I probably am, but I'm learning, so peace

1) it really is a transfer of kinetic energy. If we look at bernoullis equation, when air speeds up, it loses pressure. When air slows down, it gains pressure. Air speeds up over the upper surface and slows down over the lower surface. This is what causes lift.

Personally, I do believe life is the suction effect only upper-surface of the wings. That’s why the aircraft must let its wing clear of obstacle on obove.

Hello ... I bought a used Hobbico Nextar trainer plane with an O.S. 50 and did not bring the battery that the plane carries to drive the servos. It has a Futaba FM receiver of course with glass. What type of battery do I have to buy? How many volts and how many mAh? Thanks for your help. Gabriel

it's fake, not enough wind and even the bars connected to the plane are bended togheter from moving the model up and down. So i guess airplanes are still a mistery...

The plane is made of foam and needs very little wind to get enough lift to fly. Do some research please. I have made paper models of smaller planes (Cessna 172, piper cub) and you need barely any air speed to get them up in the air.

Cool Wind Tunnel, did you do calculations prior to the test to determine what the lift force should be and at what air speed?
