It was very impressive to come close to your PB on a tough course on a blistering hot day.👍 I've no doubt you can run under 2:50 when conditions are right. You're probably still a few years from your peak too. 😀
Girl I'm a new follower and have watched all your videos just now haha. You should be so proud of yourself in your time still for Boston, holy cow like I know it was a struggle but you ate that up
It was definitely the heat. My slowest ever marathon was 32 degrees Celcius (107.6 F). Only time I have ever walked. The body just stopped working and I wasn't alone. It didn't help that we were not long out of winter and this was a random hot day so no one was ready for it. Chalk it up to experience and move on.
Caitlyn! I watched your whole Boston 2024 prep and am so proud of and inspired by you!! Also, you should DEF consider running the Ventura Marathon in Ojai, CA in February 2025. It’s such a beautiful and perfect course and so many people set amazing PRs-also perfect weather. I ran the half this year-not full-but had the best race of my life. I think that you could def run the full under 2:50. In any case, so excited to watch what you do next!!!!!
Congratulations on Boston. I'm training for my 2nd attempt to qualify. I'm definitely going to check out the Boulder Half Marathon as my mid training test before the Full
Tell Hayley to hold her Mazda key up to the ignition switch when she starts the car. Also might be different in Australia but I also need to have my foot on the brake when I start it
A sub 3 hour Marathon is a major accomplishment for a guy but for a girl it's HUGE! 😮You are officially awesome, Caitlyn. 👍 I wonder how fast you'll eventually go.
Running my first marathon later this year in NYC and I am so incredibly excited and scared! I’ve been binging marathon videos and it’s such a wonderful viewing experience. I can barely imagine what it’s like crossing that finish line. Taking lots of notes and inspirations from you and all the other runners I’ve been watching. Such an incredibly beautiful sport. 💖
So proud of you! The tough days really show who you are as an athlete, it’s fun to work hard when the race is going to plan. And that new set, NEED it 🩷
Great job, Caitlyn!!! I was running very near from you, I was aiming 2:50 too but after Km 30 I noticed that it would be impossible to mantain the pace, I finished 2:55. When I finished I was very disapointed but when I was talking with another runners about the brutal wheather I realized that my race was remarkable!!! I'm your #1 fan, many thanks to share all your experience!!!
My goal in running is to be Fast Enough to have Jeff Cunningham put together a training block for me. Congratulations on the training I've been following you and some of those training sessions were Crazy Hard your a Savage
I love your videos!! I’m new to watching but you’ve inspired me to train for a full marathon. So far in my running journey I’ve only run up to 14 miles. My PR for half marathon is 1:50. Do you have a certain program you follow? Thank you and congratulations!! This is my dream to run Boston
Great video!! I just hit the SUBSCRIBE button. 👍 Thanks for taking all of us along on your Boston Marathon journey!! I had the privilege to run it last week as well and it was soooo much fun. Keep up the work and I look forward to watching more videos in the future.
Caitlin!!! I tracked you and am so freaking proud of you-that was a tough race (my cousin also ran it and threw up at the end of it due to being dehydrated). You are a fighter!!! Amazing finish time! Also I totally think you should do the Ventura Marathon in Southern California in February 2025! It’s a nice downhill/rolling hill course (better than CIM in my opinion) and I totally think you could run 2:49 or faster. Definitely look into it. I ran the half and PR’d by 5 mins-several other people ran the full and PR’d as well due to the perfect weather and smooth course! Also what made you decide to incorporate meat back into your diet? Excited to follow along your journey:)
Tracked your run in real time on the BAA App along with a few other RU-vidrs (Ben and Mary Bridges, Ben Parkes…) and saw the moments you passed the two Bens in quick succession then kept increasing your lead. I think your training in hotter climate helped sustain your endurance. Great job!
You guys are soooo fun and sweet!! Loved this! Congrats on an awesome job! Gettinf ready for my marathon and this made me stoked. What do you set your watch face as during the race?
