Carlson & Son Landscaping, LLC is a father and son owned and operated business in Southern New Hampshire. We are both full time software engineers and do this work alongside those jobs in our spare time. Originally this channel began as a way to document the renovations made on Brian's home (the son) and now it documents the majority of the work we do for ourselves and clients!

I really like it when you get out of the machine and make it all look great with a rake or shovel because that's reality and your keeping it real, nice job as usual
Nice machine and tilt rotator! I operate in sweden where they are on every machine, nice to see it also in america. From experience, they wear a lot faster if you break/bend with them so decoupling it when using the ripper will increase its life! Nice work!
Kinda reminds me of your backyard before you made it all pretty..the grading n stuff wow that was a task in fact I think yours was even worse, you & your dad worked your butts off trying to tame it. This yard looks totally different now it's awesome.
They are 1/2" x 4' x 8' poly ground mats (traction on both sides) I got from a second hand seller on Marketplace. I can't recall the brand, but there are lots of them out there.
@@brandonsmith1752 I just got them that job and havent used them again yet due to the jobs ive been on, but they didnt incur any damage with the trucks or machines driving over them that job.
Nice work, this is what I need to do on my own driveway, and because it's steeper than this one, I may put in a few water bars to channel water off to the side and into swales that are cut on-contour, perpendicular to the slope of the hill in order to soak the runoff into the landscape. Swales are always cut on contour, perpendicular to slope -- they don't direct water downhill. So for the excavations that are on either side and parallel to the driveway, I think you mean a drainage -- and those may even end up eroding quite a bit in heavy rainstorms, so you might think about moving the water sideways rather than downhill. This property in particular has plenty of room for swales on either side of the driveway. .
I was not pleased to see that driver dump so much in one spot and why was he not instructed to spread it out way more as it spilled way to much onto the sides onto the lawn
Where is your roller compactor for the road? You need to get the base to at least a 95% compaction rate, then put your -3/4 material moist to get another compaction rate, 1 rut on that soft road anywhere in that road is gonna cause it the same exact problem, guarantee it's going to do it again after the next heavy rain. Just tryin to help you out, to do it right.
Cut up the wood and have fires or sell it to someone that would use it…. Don’t just let it rot away… my uncle had his woods cleaned up by the local saw mill…. For a price…. Lots of work he did not need to pay to have done but got paid for it… that’s smart business….
What a costly mistake look at all the material you had to throw at that inexpensive drive because you place top soil on those people’s drive way then mix it in with the existing rock and millings ..I would have sued if you passed that expense to me because of your negligence..just saying you turned this simple job into a project..JS….maybe watch real dirt professionals videos and learn
If you would fill your bucket then raise it where you can see what’s happening under your tracks it would progress your compaction a lot quicker and actually compact the material a lot better
What a waste of a machine..a CTL without a combination bucket is leaving so much potential profitability and wasted time and energy..I can out work 4 machines with gpc buckets with one 4 in 1 bucket
what are the blocks behind the wall for? are they cemented on top of each other or just dry stacked? I like your small excavator would that do that job if it had a tilt rotator? nice project.
