Someone who I wanted to call a friend asked me a question on where I would go, with him as my motivation I explored the possibilities then was shot down to impossible. I was distracted by a court hearing, my partner was likely cheating and had not taken care of our daughter for one day of his life, I dedicated myself to marriage that was loveless, and the internet told me that there are better men out there than spending my evenings alone. Along the way I found the destinations to still be agreeable despite not having a reason to go. Then one day I wanted to gain some sun by taking my daughter to the beach of California for her spring break and sea smoothed glass from California. As the man I wanted to marry broke our home, I was able to visit my destination with my little one, but still have yet to select sea smoothed glass together. Maybe one day, I hope. Everything else was impossible, but one day is possible.

Dude, you don't know how much emotion this carries for me. It has this meloncholic fate-acceptance feeling, this 'it is what it is' but lets enjoy it and groove it. It's hard to explain, but songs nowdays really feel like they focus on catchiness, instead of just raw humanity.
