Damn i found a broken series s for 100, with an issue that seems to be from the hdmi port. Sadly i do not have any soldering materials to fix it, and I might bresk it even more XD
That’s almost always related to the screws not being tightened enough, the contact points on the boards need to be making good contact with the frame, that’s most likely all it is.
Oh thanks for the reply! I hope you're right. Is it possible I've damaged the antenna board and it will need replacing? Or is it more likely the screws? Reason I ask is it took me almost all day to get the magnet in the correct positioning for screens to work and scared to mess around with it incase magnet moves. I've noticed when try tighten the screws closest to the magnet the megnetism of the screwdriver caused the magnet to move slightly so I've left the screw closest to the magnet of. Do you know where can order replacement screws from as well?
Just wanted to add that I've noticed at my sisters house in the top bedroom closest to the front of the house it gets a signal 4G and 5G but at my house it's stuck on no service or emergency calls only which is very strange an all..
I remember you had sold a kit I work at a repair shop and want to give it a shot on some junked out screens do you still sell the kit I’d probably want to try just to LOCA method we already have the tear down tools just not the wire, glue, mat we do have the UV light if it uses the same wavelength our solder mask uses (we have different 3 wavelengths cause different brands lol)
What temps do you have your gun and iron at? I keep seeing lots of different variances but im trying to practice on water damaged switch boards to get practice for not ruining solder pads. Thanks!
can you share how you replace the screen. sorry for not able to reach 10,000 likes you wished. but i have been a strong fan supporting you. please share with us pleaseee
Hello I had a query - My IPHONE 12 pro also experience water damage and the face ID has stopped working. The phone boots fine. But after every 10 mins or heavy load, its reboots again. It comes back to home screen and then starts working fine again for another 10-15 mins and then again this process repeats. What do you think I can do?
Derek repaired my Apple version eight watch and it looks perfect. I highly recommend people with broken Apple watches send their watch to him rather than attempting a repair themselves. It’s much cheaper in the long run as he charges half of what everyone else charges.
I keep getting error when trying to use icopy 2.2 for face ID repair. I cloud back up and when click activation I get activation failed, please try again If the cable is detected abnormally, please remove the extension cord or use the chip solution to fix it.
Fantastic video, thanks a million. Waiting for a new port to arrive today, much to my son's impatience :o) I thought there would be soldering involved, but the last time I soldered a component to a PCB was at university about 30 years ago! I wasn't familiar with the variable melting point solder pastes, nor the heat sink paste. I'm very glad now that I found this how-to first before cracking anything open. Still a bit daunted mind you, small-soldering skills will be rusty after so many years. My old iron is butane-powered. I also have a mini butane torch with controllable gas and air feeds that I use for brass and white metal from time to time. If held far away enough from the PCB might that work instead of the heater thingy you set to 500? Perhaps I'm better investing in a controllable temperature electric iron? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
There are some decent solder station with both the heat gun and soldering iron combo for relatively cheap price. I’d recommend they for this repair at minimum.
I sent my broken Series 4 in for repair. Derek fixed the glass and installed a tempered glass screen protector. Works like it did before the accident. Very happy with the service I received. Well done!

Hi so my iphone 12 pro max is also stuck in a bootloop because i updated it and there’s no storage left, can i still fix it like this because i tried itunes and it said error 1110?
Are your posts also slanted from front to back? What happens when you install the tin roofing. Does it just slight bend level at the front and back. Since you've welded the perimeter 2x4s to the insides of the posts, does it leave 4 inches on the front and back posts to be level with the ground?
mate i’m going crazy, i have a broken ultra 2 and one that has demo mode on it, i am so scared to remove the screen from the demo one, nobody can atually say what to be careful about, just post the video , you will be the first one on youtube to actually do it properly 💪🏼🫡
Hi there, can you help me please? My pixel 6 Pro passes the Fingerprint Calibration tool, but it doesn't seem to fix the issue. When I search for fingerprint in settings, the settings app crashes. My screen was replaced and the sensor was transferred to the new screen. The screen is an OEM
They make these things so that we will have to pay someone to replace the battery. They're not doing it for your convenience they're making it inconvenient so you will have to pay to get it done. Why should we buy a watch like that they could make that battery where you can replace it yourself.
Great video as I was contemplating replacing the HDMI. I went to plug in the controller, didn't even touch the PS5 and bang a big static shock. The thing now will not output any video whatsoever. Tried safe mode and all that. Any idea if that's likely the HDMI or possibly fried the video card or some other component?
