I'm a former primary school teacher who happened upon circular knitting machines through social media. I love the challenge of turning a tube of yarn into something wondrous and I'm passionate about showing you how to do the same.
It doesn't matter what brand machine you have, whether it's an Addi Express, a Sentro, a Knitting Circle, a Prym, or one of the many others, everyone's welcome here.
Come and check me out on all the socials where I share what's going on at Eryn Makes Designs. See the links below.
Oh no, the link hasn't come up. Not a problem. On the short, under my name is the link. It has a little triangle next to it. It will take you to the full tutorial. Sorry, this reply is in English, my French isn't very good and I don't know how to say all of this in French.
Bonjour Les avez vous tricoter avec tricotin Si oui lequel Et à combien d'aiguilles /picot S'il vous plaît. Car j'aimerais en faire pour de petits cadeaux de remerciement.
The body of the cauldron is made using a 22pin circular knitting maxhine. And yes, I used a tricotin with 4 pins to make the brim and the handles. If you follow through to the full video, there's a link on this short to take you there, I show two alternatives if you don't have a tricotin.
Thank you. I hope you get a chance to make one. This is the Addi Express Professional by Addi. I live in the UK and I bought mine on Amazon about 3 years ago now.
Well, not every video's going to be perfect. Did anyone else notice I listed grey yarn in the materials even though I don't use grey at all in this project?🤦🏻♀️😂
I hope you've enjoyed watching this and that you'll have a go at making one for yourself. And I really would love to hear how you use up your yarn scraps.
While I absolutely love this pattern and plan to make with my granddaughter, the most exciting thing I learned from this video was how to fix that clicking pulling problem! I could not figure it out and we spent a very frustrating day making pumpkins yesterday. So many many thanks for teaching me another valuable trick for my knitting machine♥️
That's very frustrating. At the top of my page I have listed all of my social media links, if you have an account with Facebook, Instagram or TikTok, you can send me a message and I will see if I can send you the link there.
Omg 😍 please make more videos showing how to use the machine properly.you explain things so well make it easy to understand. Thank u this video was a massive help to me x
You're very welcome and thank you. I have lots of little projects I'm making videos for with the intent to teach skills and I will definitely be including more tips on using the machines. Have a look at some of my videos, you might find a project you'd like to make.
Cathy, have you signed up to my email list? The link's in the captions. Each Saturday, I email out the link to the newest pattern plus any free downloads I've written as well as occasionally I'll send diacounts for my paid patterns in Etsy. No pressure to sign up, I'm just so happy to have your continued support.
I love adding character and life to my toys and amigurumi through embroidery. What's your favourite feature to embroider? Mine's the mouth, especially a smiley one.
I thought my growing fruit and veg collection needed a little colour, and this orange sure does that! I love how with just a little bit of yarn, we can make something so quick and fun. And did you see, I've linked the other Positive Fruit and Veg from this series in the caption. If you've made one of my projects, I would really appreciate it if you posted a photo on your socials and tag me. I love seeing when people make one of my designs. On Instagram, Threads and TikTok, I'm @erynmakesdesigns, and on Facebook, I'm @Eryn_makes.
I have to admit, I think my pineapple is the cutest thing since puppies were invented. Okay, okay, maybe not that cute but it comes in a close second. Next week, I'll be releasing my Positive Carrot, followed by some Positive Cherries. All credit for the cherries goes to, Cathy Drews, a lovely social media friend who's given me her blessing to use her idea to make a tutorial. That got me thinking, do you have a fruit or vegetable you'd like me to make a tutorial for? Let me know in the comments and I'll give it a think. Until then, enjoy your Positive Pineapple.
Hi, This is the first full tutorial I've made for RU-vid and it's the one that's made me pivot the direction of my design business. You might know that I design and write circular knitting machine patterns and sell them in my Etsy shop, ErynMakesDesigns. I love doing that but it really is a labour of love. Each design and pattern takes months, and I'm beginning to feel a little burned out from it all. That's where you and RU-vid comes in. Here, I can design fun little patterns that teach you new skills at the same time as making something you'll be happy with. And, big And, I get to have fun doing it because there's far less pressure. Anyway, Enjoy Grogu, and May the 4th be with you!
Hi, The Positive Lemon is the second in my series of Positive Fruit and Vegetables. Keep an eye out for new ones each week. I'm having a lot of fun making these videos and can't wait to show you next week's, the Positive Pineapple. Its face is so stinking cute! For now, enjoy this super simple lemon. Why not make a whole bowl of them and pop them on your counter. That way, you won't have to worry about them going off. Enjoy!
Hi, this is the first in my Positive Fruit and Vegetables series. I hope you have fun making these little Positive Peas. I love how little they are and how they fit in the palm of my hand. If you make one, how about sharing a photo of it on socials and tagging me, I'm @erynmakesdesigns on Instagram, Threads and TikTok, and on Facebook (who's being stubborn about letting me change my name) I'm @Eryn_makes. Enjoy!
Hi, Thanks for having a look at my channel. I didn't say this in the video but after making my Grogu tutorial, I remembered how much I love teaching. I was a primary school teacher before having children, and a pretty good one too. I miss teaching, so by making these videos I'm able to tap back into that skill while at the same time sharing with you a hobby that I love. Plus, pattern writing takes months, whereas making one of these videos takes me a week, which is way more fun for me. So it's a win win. You get a free pattern and tutorial from me, and I get to teach again and have fun designing new patterns with far less pressure. With that said, enjoy my channel!
Thanks! That's something to think about. At the moment I'm busy filming my, Positive Fruit and Vegetables tutorials, but after that, I'll have time to think about it.
Thank you. That's lovely of you to say. I used to be a primary school teacher so it feels good to be able to use those skills here. I hope you've made yourself a lemon and love it.
Talking is ok as long as the creator continues to work, I have seen a few that stop working just to talk. You have done a fine job working and talking. 💖💖👍👍🙏🙏👍👍💖💖
That's really helpful feedback, thank you. I was feeling quite nervous, this being my first full tutorial, I'm used to writing patterns, not talking about them, so I wanted to get it right. I don't know if you've seen, but I've just released two new tutorials, a Positive Pea and a Positive Lemon. Come check them out if you haven't already. And there's lots more to come.
