Comfortable ride, great handling, light feeling, can't say enough about it, but the top gearing leaves wanting a little more on descends and sometimes on the road
Finding the right saddle can be quite difficult so definitely shop around. I also recommend measuring your sit bones so you get the correct saddle width, that is a big game changer.
Thanks. I just bought the Camelbak Insulated Podium in black. It actually looks grey and has what appears like a very tight seran wrap around the bottle. I that part of the insulation? It also has what looks like deep scratches thoughout the bottle? Is that part of the insulation? Reminds me of the huge cheap styrofoam coolers. Thanks
Yes, what you're seeing the insulation on the exterior of the bottle. That layer is what has all the graphics and coloring. I'm not sure what "deep scratches" you mean though, the bottles I have all look pretty nice especially brand new.
The OSPW doesn't significantly change the chain length so you should still be within a few links of your original setup. On the bike shown in this review I re-used the original chain and didn't have any performance issues with shifting.
This is a good video with a lot of good information here, and I like that you included your height because I found these online and cant get to the shop to physically see with my own eyes how they look in real life. Trying to decide over Moki 1 and Moki Lite, do you think this would be comfortable for a guy slightly over 100 kg?
I'm 6'1" and there is plenty of leg room in the kayak. It's also roomy side-to-side so you should be comfortable in the kayak. You may want to also consider the Kokopelli Platte, I have found it to be a lot quicker to setup (you don't have the fussy drop floor of the Moki-Lite to deal with) and lighter.
4:48 -> eh nah I can put a lot more stuff in the back pockets of a cycling jersey including an extra water bottle and it's more aero... als I think this top tube bag is too small, pretty ugly -as all top tube bags IMO - and expensive. Thanks for the video.
There is no way to turn off the touch screen or lock it out as far as I know. Personally I like the Bryton 750 SE's navigation over the Magene. With the Magene you get a bigger screen and more polished look, but the navigation is lacking.
I haven't had a chance to try the RSL Knit yet as they are still out of stock. The Knit version definitely looks cool in the black / gold color scheme and is only $50 more than these shoes so it might be worth the premium.
I don't believe Trek has updated the Flare / Ion RT lights aside from rebranding them from Bontrager to Trek yet. Hopefully they do an update and add USB-C charging to bring it up to modern standards.
I'm not sure if there is a way to do that - have you heard something different? Trek has an app called "Trek Accessories" but that only seems to be designed to work with the CarBack radar.
Yes, it does work with the Garmin Varia or any rear radar system. iGPSPORT has updated the software to support radars so it should all work out of the box.
Is it possible to manually turn on the backlight? Received mine today and seems impossible to turn on the backlight. The brightness control doesn't seem to do anything (low, medium and high looks the same) and I have tried with auto backlight on and off. I don't want to believe my unit is defective but kinda thinking that it might be. A little clarification would go a long way to settle my mind. Tks😊
Hello, could you please tell me what the outside width of the rim is? I know internal width is 17mm but I want to know the outside dimensions. Thanks. Sorry for the bad english.
The battery life has been good with the C606. I believe I've seen around ~15 hours using a cadence sensor and radar (the radar can really reduce runtime with all the beeping and display updates).
Love your reviews! Very in depth and great for learning more about potential purchases. I love seeing a product Ive been thinking about pop up on your channel!
Just tried the 1300. Strap part does not hold the light at all. Tried every which way and it still flew off at the 1st bump. Go pro adapter fits securely but now ill have to screw that in somewhere. Not happy with it
The 110 hour runtime is for the 10 lumen eco flash mode with the camera off. For daytime riding I'd recommend using the higher flash mode instead though which cuts down the runtime.
The short nose has nothing to do with aerodynamics. It is to allow the saddle to be placed closer to the bars, without violating UCI rules that limit the extent to which a saddle can be placed forward, measuring from the tip of the saddle to the bottom bracket line. It also removes some of the friction that might occur with the tip contacting the inner thigh. A short nose is not, however an advantage, because there is less space to slide forwards and change your position and weight distribution over the BB, which can be an advantage in a seated climb or a sprint.
That is surprising to hear, I've never gotten that close to the maximum tightness. Is it possible you have the wrong size shoe? With Fizik sizing I've found they run large and that my size is 1 full size smaller than Shimano / Bont Cycling.
Unfortunately there really aren't many products out there with replaceable batteries. Hopefully "right to service" laws gain some momentum and that changes.
I have the BSC100 (highly recommend it as a basic cycling computer) and I bought this because of the navigation and it was a disappointment. As said in the video, indicating turns instead of just indicating intersections leads to mistakes very easily. The worst thing is at roundabouts, it doesn't indicate which exit, just the left/right arrows, so getting lost is very easy. This is really stupid, I just wanted simple directions at intersections (left, right, straight ahead and roundabout exits) supposedly shouldn't be complicated. So if navigation is what you are looking for, forget it. However, since I got it cheap (only 13 euros above the fantastic BSC100) it is ok as a basic cycling computer. The differences between the BSC100 to the BSC200 (I will not count the navigation feature) BSC100 is cheaper and has a better battery life, the BSC200 is more customizable. I don't have an interactive trainer, it has this feature but I don't know how it works.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. As far as navigation, I still prefer Bryton GPS computers as they show an illustration of the intersection and the navigation has been pretty reliable. Otherwise, these BSC computers are a good deal and have been more reliable than Magene or other budget computers I've reviewed.
The Magene computer uses a standard Garmin quarter turn mount so you can use any third-party. I like the Topeak UTF out-front mount (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-48m15ZFHAFQ.htmlfeature=shared) as it has a dual clamp design which is pretty stable.
@@TheSweetCyclists Thanks, could this mount be able to withstand the weight of a Garmin 1030? I've had bad luck with mounts bought from AliExpress breaking the mounting plastic where the ears of the Garmin attaches, I know the Garmin official mounts are solid buy they are overpriced, so I'm wondering if this UTF is a good alternative.
Hi! Thanks for sharing this review. Would reckon if this fits a D-shaped seatpost (such as the Scott Addict or Giant D-fuse)? Is there a battery indication function, even if simple? Thanks
According to CatEye the seat post is designed for D-shaped posts so it's worth a try (the manual says 130 mm circumference). The Vi150 does not have any battery status checker, but the indicator (below the power button) will start flashing once the battery status is low and the light automatically switches to a power saving flash mode (good for 1hr).
Hello, thanks for the review. One question I don't seem to find an answer is if the light can be charged from an external battery while using it ? Thanks
No problem. I don't have the light anymore to test it in person, but most of Magicshine's newer lights do support on-the-go charging so I suspect the Ray 2600 would as well.
I’ve just started using one and I’m very pleased with it my previous one was a Wahoo bolt which was fine but wanted a reasonably priced upgrade thanks for your review
The ARO 3 isn't my favorite helmet on the market but for $27 that's hard to beat. You might want to make sure you aren't buying some sort of cheap replica helmet, that seems like a suspiciously low price.
Got this for good price, my Garmin 810 has been reliable but getting old. The BSC300 easy enough to use with good quick start guide, mobile app and website, it does what I need. It drains battery slowly in use and recharges quickly. Why pay more?
very short battery life :( mine Seemee 200 lasted only 2 road seasons (spring-summer-fall) Don't recommend it if you want to use brake light. For me it was essential !!!
I am looking at this same shoe but I have to order them.Did you use the Lake sizing guide and it says to go with a 44.5.A Lake rep told me to size up a half to a 45 and I need a wide. What did you do please???
That's interesting, I ended up with a EUR 44 Wide which is the same size as the Shimano S-PHYRE and Bont Cycling shoes I wear and found it to be comfortable. I'd recommend trying out any Lake shoe in person if you can find a local retailer or buy it from an online retailer that offers free returns if the sizing is off.
@@TheSweetCyclists There are no Lake retailors in Wisconsin where I live.I originally was going to switch to Sidi Mega.I ordered a pair only to find out that they are not actually wide.I had to pay shipping costs and restocking fees to return them. That is when I found out that on Amazon there are few if any free returns for cycling shoes..I actually took the last out on a pair of Shimano 44 wide and Sidi mega 44 and my feet hang over the sides.Do you know of any retailors that have free returns?
That's a good question. I think the Bryton Rider 750 SE is a more polished and refined product than the iGPSPORT computers. Bryton's app has a sleeker design and the navigation on the Bryton is reliable and intuitive. The iGSPORT is a tier below that but offers more affordable pricing and it is still well designed. The Bryton is worth the extra money if navigation and a more polished experience are important to you. Otherwise, pocket the $100 difference and get the iGSPORT BSC300.
@TheSweetCyclists 😪😭I ordered the magene. I shoulda awaited your reply. But I thought they are bigger as a company so might improve on the software part especially the navigation and give us free updates...idk.
The side vents do well for sunglass storage as there are inner grooves to hold the temple arms. It's a bit more shallow than other helmets, but they still work well.
The glossy screen isn't an issue while riding - almost all GPS computers have a similar display. Here in the bright California sun I haven't had any issues with seeing the screen..
