Great video. Thanks! Happy to see these actually bolt on. Wondering why only one bolt? When you can see there is a hole in the rear. Any issue with them not sticking down in the rear?
10:05 For the foglight switch wire, do you just mount the switch itself and once you connected everything it's gonna be switchable to on/off? PS I'm just going for a plug and play setup cause I'm not an expert in wiring/electronics like u said in the video
Depending on the year of STi you've got. For all the VA chassis WRX or STi's, the interior wires are all there. So, you will just need the fog light switch and the relay. The biggest difference is in the engine bay itself. Some models have the fog light wires ran to the engine bay relay box and others do not. I can say the 2020-2021 do not have the engine bay wires. You will need to run them yourself. Everything I have mentioned is if you want that OEM setup. There are outfits out there like Diode Dynamics that do have kits for a plug-n-play type setup. You just run their kit in your car.
@@wsucougarx i have a 2021 sti. Nice to know that I just need to buy the foglight switch and the wires like u have in the video. I kinda want OEM like yours but I'd rather have the plug and play and not worry abt the wirings anymore.
Will you sell me a copy of the template for the canards? I tried doing the s209 tank but most of the parts are vin locked . Where did you get them from?
That thing looks perfect! I’m a retired Army Infantryman and I also restore vintage Military Vehicles. I started when I began my tour on Recruiting Duty in 1993 and after 31 MV’s the last one was done in 2010. I mention all this because I’ve owned and restored 4 M-561’s, they were all in good shape and the engines were in excellent order which made the work mostly superficial. One of them required some serious effort but the price was too good to pass up at $1,500 in 1998. I lived in Klamath Falls, OR then Eureka, CA and Pt. Mugu NAS, CA over near Oxnard, CA. So if by some weird chance you got one of my former vehicles, that would be freaky, lol. One day I got the bright idea to drive the Goat on a 45 minute drive to work at LA MEPS in 98 and all on the freeway, I made it there and home in one piece but never again. I can highly advise that when you go on longer drives with the Goat to stop every 45 minutes and tighten the lug nuts (3/4” socket) so a wheel doesn’t come off and pass you on the road. If this does happen, just take one lug nut from the other wheels to re-secure the wheel and continue the trip. God I wish they had power steering for that thing, lol.
do you have a sound video? do they sound different than USDM horns?...I thought about these as the Hella ones are meh. more interested in the bumper brace and if you notice any change. I love my DD SS3 sport fogs. Still wish there was a way to install a 5"-6" round in the lower bumper vent area. it would require some reworking of the bumper sadly.... 🏁
The fogs up top are good to go. The bottom driving lights are blinding. Those are reserved for those late night drives out in the middle of nowhere. For me, eastern Washington. For regular driving, they won't be used
Do you have a tutorial/guide on how to make the for light harness? I’ve been wanting to get fogs on my STI but don’t want to do a plug and play but rather more of an oem+ thing. Which side did you do ground and positive for the connector on your harness?
Sorry, I didn't do a tutorial video on the wiring harness. I thought about it but felt it may have been too involved. With the plug at the front bumper, a guy could run up to 4 wires to the fuse box. So depending on the project, a custom harness could be made. The parts needed would be the appropriate connectors at the front bumper, 18 gauge multi-stranded copper wire, wire sheath of some sort, grounding loop connector, and pins for the fuse box.
Hi, just wondering after installation, were you able to put back the engine cover? I actually have a metal skid plate as my engine cover, just wondering if that will fit with the stiffener installed. Any input would be very helpful, thanks
The Subaru emblem does not light up. I did think about adding one or a lit up STi badge. I may do this at a later date. I could tap right into the DRL power wire.

The first VN issue I received was a M16 without a forward assist and a 3 pron😮g flash suppressor. The 2nd had forward assist with the same 3 prong suppressor. Both were made by TurboHydramatic Division of GM and were dark gray in color. Never had a Colt. I would pay that amount for one of these.
