I love the fact that both games Brian is like “My hand is so bad” and then goes on to win both games lol. That’s what I like about this game is that even if you have a bad opening hand and draws in the first few turns, if your opponent can’t take advantage and defeat you then you can come back out of no where because your deck has a strong late game build that starts shifting the tide of the game.
@GoldenDicePodcast other TCGs have been doing it that way for a long time and it's always noticable how much better it looks. Hopefully FFG can take note and improve it in future sets.
Nice video guys! Next set could you read what the leader does when you introduce the card? I don’t really know what they do and the card images were really tiny
About Tarkintown: Since you're using a 25HP base instead of a 30 HP one, you'd want Tarkintown to ideally save you at least 5 points of damage when you use it. About Smuggle: We have to remember that Smuggle costs more. It is a form of card advantage, but you're still paying more for what you're getting. Hondo makes it better, by giving a unit 2 more points of stats, which helps make the extra Smuggle cost more on curve, but you're still paying more for your cards than you would normally. Not sure it's entirely worth it. Thanks for the gameplay, that helped me learn a lot, today. :)
Jabba bounty > Reputable Hunter for 1 less. 3/4 on turn one. Not bad. Also Jabba's bounty activates so many bounty hunter abilities. Krrsantan and Trandoshan Hunters to name a couple. You don't even need to collect the bounty to make good on their abilities.
Moff Gideon is good in yellow. Triple Dark Raid is an amazing card. Amazing board presence between Gideons cruiser and Vader. Ability to replenish fast with excellent draw cards. He's A tier.
I think blue might go crazy. Being able to heal 10+ health by defeating a unit with either "The Client" or "Top Target" and having the defeat unit events gives him insane survivability.
@@CardClankers Yeah I felt like I personally listed him too low. My first games were rough but that’s on my end. I think he definitely has something and excited to try red and yellow with him!
@@GoldenDicePodcast when he was first spoiled I admit I was like holy crap he is terrible! Then we got the rest of the spoils and got to play test it and boy oh boy was I dead wrong. I want to try him in every aspect but I think red will be the bread and butter.
Someone has to try out Lando Aggression. In testing I’ve been outpacing Sabine Command and Sabine Cunning while also being aggressive enough to beat Mono Boba both set 1 meta and with set 2 cards. It has felt insanely good. Keep the curve low with a max of roughly 4 cost cards and you’re just spamming bodies and smuggling. 6 drop Falcon getting played for 4 smuggle from resources off Lando’s ability and Hotshot from resources has been real MVPs. You’re looking to end the game on turn 5. Turn 6 as the latest. Of course this hasn’t been tested again any heal control decks yet. That’s likely the decks weakest match up.
I think Jack missed playing a Battlefield Marine for free off of Cobb Vanth second to last turn? I don't think it affects the outcome, but it doesn't feel like Lando can afford to miss that value. He has so many moving parts it's tough to keep track though
@GoldenDicePodcast this game really highlighted complexity issues when looking at a hand, resources for smuggle and discard in the same sleeves, searching the top of deck and playing cards from discard. Do you think it is too complex for only 2 sets?
"My brain hurt with Lando" Ahahaha <3 Great to see someone playing him I really wanna see how this leader shapes cause it feels really clunky but the decision making are interesting, and makes me wanna work it out I'm not sold on the green tho, are you? (you said something about it in the video) I've cooked a blue deck actually, it's basically monoyellow so I don't know xD blue is just to Smuggle Tobias Beckett, Concord dawn intercepters nd x3 of Feel the dragon just because. Wondering if to put Security lab or not. Double yellow or red feels the best probably. Still need to try it tho.
I mainly wanted to start in Aggression with him but picked Command since I also made a Han/Cunning deck for the night. Didnt want two Red/Yellow hero decks haha I will be looking at mono yellow with Lando next! Feels like his best spot especially with DJ now spoiled
