Thank you for a wonderful review of these products. I purchased three of Retouch4Me products with mixed results. I've also used Anthropic's Portrait Pro for years, and like it very much. I've been tempted to also go with Evoto, but their 'credit' model is not very appealing. For one thing, the number of times you can export ends twelve months from the date of purchase - and if you have any remaining credits, they don't roll over. That isn't at all fair to the consumer. If you purchase 1200 credits, you should be able to use 1200 credits. keep up the good work!
Unfortunate they combined freckle and acne... Freckles are cute and trendy... Acne not so much. I often want to preserve freckles... heck, some girls want them added.
I use both but in your demo Evoto smoked Retouch4Me. Both were set at maximum strength ad R4M came up short in skin cleaning and the Portrait volumes only ever looks good at 30% (max). But, Evoto does so much more and unlike R4M it is a one stop shop for adjusting lighting and retouching... Thanks for this demo 🙂
also you can change how much the D & B does on retouch4me ...in the video you run it but didnt show the % of how the D&B would be used ...also the same for the portrait volume % you can change how much it makes it pop less or more and in this video when you ran it ,its to strong as is ...i turn portrait volume down to 35-50% cuz it starts at 100 and its to strong for most photos and will make it look to fake
@@YvensBPhoto not in photoshop in the retouch4me app it self when you run the software you can control how much the effect is ...not just bringing down the layer in photoshop
TTL is incredibly hard to test reliably as there are too many factors.I am not a huge fan of it and don't use it much (I'm fully manual). When I did use it on jobs, it worked well.
Hi! Is Evoto software suitable for small businesses that’s selling example makeup tools? Or this is more suitable for portrait photos of people and not so for products? Thank you!
I just bought a set of AD400 pros. Great portable light, but it is absolutely complete horse s*"! that the product doesn't ship with the screws needed for the INCLUDED Bowens mount.
Retouch4Me: Created by Oleg Sharanov, for creatives. Evoto: Created by a faceless person or group, for profit. Retouch4Me: Credits, subscription or perpetual license OPTIONS, credits don't expire, plugins available, can work locally without internet (privacy assured) Evoto: Credits ONLY and expires after just 1 year, worse than a standard subscription, stops working without internet as your photos are sent to a server that you don't control The funny thing is Evoto copied the same thank you comment as Retouch4Me on this video. My money is going towards Retouch4Me. I'll also give Reblum a try as someone else mentioned.
i have your software and love it i have 3 of the actions i bought out right to use and they work great and help me alot when batch editing photos after a shoot ...i hope you keep them for sale as is and not move them to a monthly thing ...i would rather pay each year for update to keep working then paymothly ...this is why alot of ppl leave photoshop cuz the monthly prices
@@MikeAnthonyPhotography Thank you for using our products. We do not plan to offer only a subscription model. Our plugins can still be purchased once and for all with free updates. The monthly subscription and packages in cloud retouching were launched for photographers who retouch a small number of photos per month or have a "weak" computer.
@@glecas Thank you very much for your comment :) and for using our software. We really strive to train our neural networks so that the result remains as natural as possible after retouching.
@@glecas Are you basing your opinion on this video, or have you used both products? I can safely say that Evoto can produce more subtle/natural results by not pushing the sliders all the way.
Which one is your favorite? Check this out: Additional deals: Retouch4Me currently has a 30% discounts on plugins which you can access here: retouch4.me/products/retouch-plugins?lng=en&promocode=YVENS20&YVENS20 Evoto has a offered viewers of this video a 30 credit trial which you can access here: go.evoto.ai/YvensB-YT
I dig this. I've always found myself to be someone who never used filters - maybe it was because I was thinking about the "quality loss" by putting anything in front, or because of the "purity" of photography in general, but I've recently scooped up some mist and haze filters. Maybe it's time I break out my variable ND for some of these kinds of shots!
I just tell people they’re two different animals, buy accordingly. HSS is great for the wide open aperture/bokeh city look. A FAST flash duration strobe can handle everything else…except HSS ability. Another potential issue for some may be that HSS flash is relatively inefficient for power output…the unique “pulsing effect” eats up power…so whatever your rated flash is…think about HALF for watt seconds, etc. Modifiers/fabric= another half to full stop.
Most youtubers just seat and talk about how to set up litting-- maybe some images. But NO ONE ever has film themselves actually doing it. NO TALK-- Doing it. Meaning, get and and use a subject in a room and show the lights, and how you set them up.
I use gobos in theatre lights and to get sharper patterns I will somwetimes overlay the lens with a circular cutout It acts like an iris on a camera and increases the effective F stop and thus adds sharpness
There’s been a lot of hype about artificial intelligence, but there’s far more natural stupidity… There are countless ads that you see about some kid who invented a heating system that can heat an entire room on just 5 watts, or some other device that somehow ignores the laws of physics. These scams are unfortunately profitable, otherwise you wouldn’t see them.
3:05 I too have to disagree with you on this point, as @JodyCortes did on previous comment. I believe it's safe to say it depends what skill level you're in and what you hope to get out of it. If you go without a plan then yes, it could be a waste of time. For me personally, I'm going to WPPI this year (2024) for the first and I'm not attending ANY photography classes, demos or photowalks. I'm simply going to say 'hi' to the right people and maybe sit in on some morning business classes. Which I got a feeling, are almost always empty each year. And like @JodyCortes said, I too am on a budget and I'm gonna try to do this entire trip with only $300 tops. I got me a free pass and a comp room, so at least that's been taken care of. That's $150 down including the bus ticket to Vegas, so now I gotta see how I'm gonna stretch the other $150 on coffee, light snacks and ten Uber rides.
I do like your concept and explanation for your still photography, and if a picture is worth a thousand words then why not do it for your on screen image. Your one portion of face is gone with out the fill light, just saying....
@@YvensBPhoto well I’m not sure what the hell is even happening anymore on this side of the industry…sheesh. A modifier that was misguided being ripped off to do another version… I just…. I’m struggling here
@@YvensBPhoto at first it thought maybe Brandon didn’t accept a run on these Boxes from an OEM so they turned around and sold them to phottix. But this looks like it’s not the same exact one soo yeeesh
Hahaha, knew you'd be on top of this one. Phottix has a lot of really well-built, rugged, almost over-engineered gear, but this...well... hm, it's a thing. This totally came out of left field and I am wondering, who is this for??! Also by the look of the promo video, it looks like their editor missed the Halloween deadline. It's weird that they would release this silly soft burn box thing when they have stuff like the G-Capsule out. (or coming out?) One would think they would just make a fabric inlay for that or their other modifiers and probably sell a bunch more of this groundbreaking, innovative, amazing rubber coated fabric just from people trying it out as a novel accessory. But hey, if you cant beat em, join em. I am waiting for the release of the YvensBLUE box to drop next year with built-in auto color correction and grading.
@@YvensBPhoto yeah, this thing deserves to be mocked into oblivion. Im convinced this type of thing only exists to (try to) make photographers look cool using it.
