Maybe because Joe was still feeling raw, but it's rather surprising that he missed how pale and shaky Dorian was after Dorian locked Viki-as-Tommy in that back secret room. Or he may have noticed, but been too afraid to ask since he had also been experiencing his mother's growing instability.
Really, Viki needed to just _CHILL_ about Dorian. Viki needed to take chill pills and see a therapist to help her get over her irrational hatred of her stepmother. Viki just didn't get the bare basics that if you left Dorian and her kin alone, she left you alone, end of story.
It's so fun and hilarious to watch snobbish, immature Viki bring about her own downfall. And in the 2000s, Viki is stuck with constantly bickering twin daughters who despise each other and her sons being distant from her.
4:13...Intriguing and rather touching to see the Dorian's deep brown eyes widen a bit and the worried frown forming the vertical lines between her thick brows. Joe's telling her _You could never hurt me_ along with knowing that soon they both would have to deal with Viki's irrational hystrionics and hatred sooner or later has Dorian worrying and rather nervous. Oooo, Dorian was wise beyond her then fifty-something years by 1994, especially that November.
Dorian was so understanding and caring. No wonder Joe fell in love with her...she was a considerate lover. Pity that Viki was too blinded by her irrational of Dorian to see that side of her.
I understand the original Dorian - Nancy Pinkerton - killed him by withholding his medication after they had a wicked fight and he had a stroke. No way that ever could have been proven. She was too smart and calculating to do anything that could be traced later.
But Dorian did not actually kill Victor. Viki as one of her alters did. Yes, Dorian was sharp and clever. And Victor was no prize husband and no prize father either.
Dorian was so darling. I love how at 3:00, Dorian led CJ and Sarah to their seats and they went with her. I think Viki and most of the Bukes by then were realizing that Dorian was not as universally hated as they'd hoped.
I always thought that it was a pity that Viki acted like such a pig about Dorian and Joe's romance. Viki was a horrible, neglectful mother what with her torrid affair with Roger, then Sloan in addition to her on-and-off again instability. Viki should have been _grateful_ to Dorian and Carlotta for being the mother figures that Joe and Jessica so desperately needed.
@@timothymoore6341: Yes, true...but even then, considering the terrible way her stepdaughter has treated her, including trying to frame her, Dorian went beyond the call of duty. I wonder what date this episode is from?
OK...I heard Nancy Pinkerton was much meaner than Robin Strasser in the role. That's a scary thought. Because RS's Dorian could be TERRIBLE. Banging your enemy's son and having her catch you two in bed to get revenge? OMG! That's WAAAAAAAY over the line. But then again, isn't that partly why she married Victor in 1975? To get back at Viki? Hmmm....
That's actually Dorian and Tori. And Tori would have spent the rest of her life burning up Victor Lord's stuff. I would assume he owned several newspapers, radio stations, and TV stations. Wasn't it Lord, Inc?
Dorian the introvert. She did quite well with one-on-one social events and with a small band of people. It's the large parties, especially the extroverted, judgmental Buchanans and in Llanview that she had problems with.
