I liked it in the beginning. Now the main character is a narcissistic, superficial, hypocritical Mary Sue. All the men, except ONE of her love interests are sad, weak little people who exist to be an option, or a tool for her. The women have super powers, kill serial killers, and knock grown men out with bags of fries. They make Christians look, at best, like pompous idiots, and at worst, oppressive, sexist, racist, spiritually impotent, evil s*x criminals who only use the church as an excuse to have and abuse power. Except the women, they're amazing, albeit all oppressed, downtroden, victimized, etc. ALL of the subjects involved in the show are interesting. And like everyone else these days, the writers did a fantastic job researching it, and p*ss poor job of understanding it in any critical or spiritual capacity, the same way straight A students are great at regurgitation and nearly incapable of original thoughts or critical thinking in any way whatsoever. I really liked this show in the beginning but the writers have become so politically biased, socially biased, and generally inept that it's very quickly and completely burned my interest. They're GOING for thought provoking, culturally challenging, and suspensefully keeping you guessing what's real, but what they're actually doing is lukewarm, substance-free nonsense too cowardly to commit to any definitive theme or narrative, on top of everything else mentioned above. I swear, it's like they fired everyone from the first few episodes and replaced them specifically with all the writers of Velma the animated series. If you're politically far left, a modern "social activist" or just flat out stupid, you'll enjoy this into season 2 and beyond. If you're literally anything else, besides those two things, and not a masochist.....I mean hey people all have different taste, but....good luck.
The worst thing is that younger people are used to cartoonish CGI scenes ..us older folks have a point of comparison of realy good, do few, sci fo scenes like the srar war 70/80s films, Alien The thing ., Mad Max..etc.
Something that gets me is that his question is answered in the first sentence, but Frank uses this as a moment of teaching, turning the other guy into a simple minded student. Love scenes like this, in all media.
Sorry, tried to watch. Second episode guy explained how healthcare to blacks is less than whites. Not true. Demon is white male, of course. Main saintly character is black make, of course. Turned it off, enough with this racism.
Not to have the original Rocky or Raging Bull even on your list let alone not in the top 3 show lack of knowledge. You must be using AI to churn out your videos.
I don’t know how I feel about this show. There are parts of it that I like, but I’m on S2 right now and it’s completely lost its momentum. There’s no focus or underlying season arc. I also feel like so much of the supernatural stuff going on isn’t explained even though so many of them are supposed to be explained away with logic or science.
