I work as a Companion Caregiver to an 85 yr old lady w/Lewy body Dementia and she's a bigtime Narcissist. A personality disorder for sure, And she's a raging alcoholic. I am paid $25 per hr, no overtime, and get 10 hrs rest each night. I sleep downstairs so have it all to myself. She's challenging but the $ is worth it. 48 hrs is too much, I'd prefer 24 hrs but the position is 48 hrs. My client lets me charge my E-car in her garage and this job is not hands on. I have no hands on experience as a Caregiver. I commute 2.5 hrs to an affluent area of Northern Calif

I think most of us are non-medical home care agencies and don't qualify for certification with Medicare as we are not "home health care". As far as Medi-cal, the list of providers does not have "home care organization" or "home health care" listed at all. I'm wondering if this is done through IHSS , I am in california.Thank you so much for all of your info!
Excellent video. I’m a bit upset with Legal Zoom. They never mentioned the $5600 licensing fee for CDSS. We have had the biz open for some time but have not been active or made any revenue yet. Does the state still expect us to pay that fee even though we aren’t making any money?
so you don't need to rent office space to keep patient files? i was told i would need to rent a office space because patient files can't be stored at home
