Ahhhh the good old humming bird, not endangered, not threatened, same thing with the Gopher tortoise, but some hippy years ago got this animal added to the list!!!
Sad that humming bird needs the outside it is next to impossible to keep one alive in captivity even in zoos. And most wouldn't even try. The amount of protein needed is hard to replacate. And it looks half dead. Not to mention. Illegal.
These birds migrate and pair up to nest and raise future hummingbird generations Thank you so very much for sharing your video of bird slavery. I am sure that hummingbird much rather enjoy the captive confines of your house. Your house is so much better than living free and finding a mate and raising babies. Selfish
how did you feed it, we´´ve just rescue a little one about 25 days old and we woild like to do the best for him.. We feed it about avery 40 minutes that´s the period of time it accept the nectar, Regards and congratulations.
I'm afraid that erikmann is correct. I'm not trying to downplay your kindness, matter of fact I commend it! But be careful, even rehabilitating a humming bird is a violation of the Federal Migratory Bird Act.
jesus people lighten up!!....if it wanted to, or could have, it would have flown off....relax, its not like they were stepping on it. why do some people suck so much?
@BMW - No matter how well meaning someone might be, they don't always know how to help creatures like these and end up doing more harm than good. Hummingbirds are protected in the US and therefore Not Okay to keep as a pet. There are many capable animal rescue people that are knowledgeable and equipped to caring for a bird of this sort when they're hurt or sick. In addition to nectar hummingbirds also need bugs for protein in order to survive.
@thegodessofbristol im goona buy him a little drumset, you should see him playing an imaginary piano while singing(in his language) and jumping. He loves music so much is not even funny
